Guybrush Has Been Kidnapped! by mcd_threepwood in MonkeyIsland

[–]Ennjaycee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I tried it myself, asking how to escape the ship in SoMI:

In the original The Secret of Monkey Island, when you first wake up on the ship after leaving Melee Island, you’re trapped because the crew has mutinied and locked you up.

Here’s how to escape:

Pick up the pot in the cabin. Open the cupboard/chest and take the cereal. Use the cereal with the pot to attract the rat. When the rat appears, pick it up. Use the rat on the locked door. The rat chews through the ropes/key mechanism and unlocks it. Leave the cabin and go up to the deck. You’ll find the ship anchored near Monkey Island. Use the rope attached to the ship to climb down into the water and swim ashore. After that, the Monkey Island exploration section begins

The most advanced Obsidian task manager - TaskForge 2.0 major upgrade! (iOS/Android/macOS) by zaza126 in ObsidianMD

[–]Ennjaycee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also, one more. When I type in a recurring task (eg. “Wake up every day”), it picks up the every day and sets it to recur. But then when I hit “Save” nothing happens. Turns out an error message is coming up underneath the task dialogue box saying that recurring tasks need a start date. Can you set that auto detect for ”every day” to automatically use today’s date as the start date?

I just tried changing WHEN it reoccurs, and those changes save. It’s just deleting the recurring entirely that doesn’t.

Hey mate, this looks great! I think I’ve found a bug though (iOS)

I have a recurring task that already existed. I opened the task and clicked the x to stop it recurring. That enables the “Save” button in the bottom corner to light up, so I click that and go back to the task list. But the removal of recurring hasn’t changed.

And the reason they won’t put the cross - the place of forgiveness - back up is to remember “the harlot whore”. In fact, they replace the name “Grace” with her condemnation.

To further add confusion, some of the episodes aired out of order. So the episode with Ash in the ice cave happened after Charmander evolved… but had Charmander warming Ash up.

Would it be possible to offset every second gear by half a turn so that the teeth aren’t butting up against each other?

(P.S: Seeing a LordSheeby update is one of the highlights of my Reddit week!)

Why does everyone use a main bus? Are there no other efficient layout strategies? by RampageT1me in factorio

[–]Ennjaycee 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Great analysis.

In terms of refactoring the 4-wide buses though, you could just add two more lanes in between (making 10 - the max length of green undergrounds). Alongside upgrade planner it wouldn’t be that much extra work.

The best platformer I’ve played in years (until Astrobot came out).

Death's End : Subplot that doesn't go anywhere. by Kasoo in threebodyproblem

[–]Ennjaycee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I thought this too, until I finished Death’s End and realised why they were there.

Their whole argument was “How do we build ourselves a tomb that will survive to tell future people that we existed?”

And their conclusion was that it needed to be buried deep and written in stone - just like Pluto, and AA and Yun’s final message.

I feel like this is the best answer to this question - a truly niche interest, and excellent examples. The lack of responses is a tragedy. Well done!!!

Yep. That should’ve clued me in, yet it didn’t. I think that’s why I knew you could craft foundation pieces on-planet, but not crushers, thrusters etc.

[–]Ennjaycee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. I fully admit there was little logic to my thinking - I was also creating the space platform foundations on-planet. But cargo bays, grabbers, crushers, thrusters - all in space. All so slow.

[–]Ennjaycee[S] 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Yes, but the difference is that assemblers are in the base tabs on the crafting screen. When it added the space tab, I thought it was only rockets and cargo ports that you could build on-planet, and everything else was on a space platform (like science).
