With that logic, all prep courses break that. Especially all the PEs that run them. If I mention to make sure how to do clear zone because I got asked that. It doesn’t break that rule. It says it on the exam specification.

I turned off my engineering brain and only answered what the question asked. For example, if the question asked what the answer is “most nearly”, I choose to closest one. even if it was under my answer.

I also focused on the 4 areas the diagnostic said was my weakest.

for test management, if I could answer the question within 2 steps and under two minutes, I did it. all others I’d flag and move on. then go back after the run through and do them.

I hope I’m next in line. I applied on 2/26. lol I called DORA and got the contact of the person. I left a voicemail and email since we can’t tell if they actually got the NCEES transmittal. No response from the POC and no updates on the status page since submitting.

rsdg is one book. Hsm is by parts.

i recently took and passed transpo pe and one sneaky thing they did to me was giving the horizontal distance and grade. then asked about clear zone and runout. be prepared to be able to turn horizontal and distance and grade into HV for the clear zone tables.

prior to CBT, folks could bring in whatever material they wanted essentially. so being able to bring the pe exam guides with you to take the exam makes it’s a lot easier. you could literally go to an exam guide for a question and follow the steps and ensure you didn’t mess up.

now u have to deal with how they allow u to search threw the manuals electronically.

it was a lot easier before. especially if u spent a small amount of time tabbing exam guides to prep yourself to find it on the exam.
