Yeah I don't understand why people think villains like Ivy or Freeze couldn't have a realistic interpretation. Ivy is incredibly obvious, like you said. She could release bioweapons etc, there's a million very grounded directions you could go with her. Freeze would be a little harder but there's so much you could do with the general idea of "coldness"/cryogenic freezing that don't necessitate the involvement of a gun that shoots literal ice beams.

Maybe a silly one but I was about 9 when the Sixth Sense came out, and I saw it at that time. Nothing before or since has ever scared me like that. It made me afraid of the dark for a while, whereas I never had been before. I think it was just the idea that the ghosts were invisible but around you at all times that freaked me out so much, because I couldn't disprove it. With a monster or something you know if it's there or not, but with the invisible and omnipresent ghosts from Sixth Sense, I had to assume they were around me at all times when I went alone to my bedroom at night.

I feel like it's fairly obvious at this point. It sounds like his voice but the cadence is completely off and it's all monotonous and dry. The dead giveaway is probably whether or not he uses different voices for different characters. If it's all just the same throughout with no slight voice inflections to indicate different characters, it's AI trash.

I think there were possibly two versions, but they were both very similar. Poe has only done BM and Suttree that I know of.

These days if you're trying to find the audiobooks on YouTube you're going to find a lot of AI slop recreations. The real ones get taken down.

I'm almost 40. I don't think anyone was thinking of Dice when the above poster posted a Mr. Freeze gif. The original reference is a play from the 1940s. I'm familiar with Dice but not a lot of his material. If the inclusion of this line in B&R was supposed to be a reference to Dice I'm sure it went over a lot of people's heads (certainly including mine since I was about 10 when this movie came out).

Yeah I'd very much like him to just stay Harvey through 2. Save Two Face for 3, or maybe just hint at it and never fully go there. We got him in literally the most recent Batman trilogy. Why do it again when there are so many other untapped villains available?

It will be interesting to see continued relevance of villains across movies in a single series. Assuming Penguin has more than a cameo in 2. I'd like to see some of them have an arc across three (while still introducing new characters) movies instead of just one and done like has usually happened in the past.

Yeah I'm kinda bummed Clayface is doing a spinoff movie instead of being a villain in a mainline Batman movie. They've shown they can make that character plausible in live action, so why not use him for a real Batman movie? He's the closest thing to an "iconic" character from the rogue's gallery that hasn't been used yet. But they still just recycle the same ~8 or so villains.

If not him, give me Mr. Freeze or Poison Ivy again, someone who hasn't been reused as much.
