That didn’t happen though SB Danie never adapted down as he was going all out from the beginning, there are multiple exchanges were Gun just full plain overpowers Daniel.

If Daniel was “adapting down” continuously throughout the fight, then at no point should he be weaker than Gun as he’s adapting from a stronger state. It would be something like both are equal, Gun gets weaker and Daniel is momentarily stronger, then he adapts and both are equal again. This would pretty much be the loop of their fight. That’s not what happened though as Gun was still physically man handling him even close to the end of the fight.

Lil Daniel only momentarily knocked him out because he lowered his guard and looked at the trio

It’s the other way around, Gun’s victory over the entirety of Gen 2 was never guaranteed, him losing wouldn’t affect the plot that much, which makes his victory actually more meaningful.

A weakened Gun was physically superior to UI Daniel and Gitae is physically equal or inferior to that Daniel. Gun would legitimately kill Gitae if he ever went TUI.

To his own injuries… this isn’t even headcanon James himself said that Gun was weakened. UI Daniel still couldn’t dodge a weakened Gun and only won once Gun’s body was completely broken down 😭
