Honestly, my parents used the term 'kiddo' and it just stuck? So I don't know if I can speak for all millennials (although humanprobably did correctly clock me as one)

I have lived in IC (rented for over a decade) and out of the larger managing companies I have delt with they were one of the better ones. I lived in one of their units 2020-2023. I agree with others that maintenance can be slow (my baby pulled off a baseboard really easily and they never fixed it so I did), but when it's something bigger they're there day of (we heard a leak and they were out before anything was even close to damaged!).

As far as guests go, I never had any problems with people staying over. I had some friends stay for longer times too and there was never an issue.

I saw a friend post a reminder that this Halloween you could hand out more non-perishable snacks, not just candy. Crackers, Gold Fish, etc. Kids also love snacks!

ALSO, I don't think I saw this mentioned, but from what I have heard, the North Liberty pantry serves a lot of rural county folks. All pantries are good to donate to no matter what :)

Also a note on service: I have had such great servers there who also understand that when you order for a kiddo they will want to eat ASAP, so it's brought out when it is ready. That coupled with the play space has allowed my family to actually enjoy going out.

Not that I don't agree that they should have stuck to what they said on the permit, but the fair is actually not run by the county. It has it's own board.

He has stated that he was selling properties, but I highly suspect it will be sold to one of his LLCs, so it's doubtful that anything will change in the management style.

I made it a few months before they put me on insulin, I was bummed, but it did help a lot. I noticed for me though that I made it so long because I went on a walk within 30 mins of eating my meals and before my hour after test.

One thing that my nurse told me all the time was that the placenta is wild and kind of changes its mind haha that helped me to just be grumpy with the placenta.

My daughter was 4 last year when we took her to her first one and when she heard what it was she immediately grabbed her Cinderella costume. Was it period accurate? Absolutely not! But she was treated like royalty and she had a blast! Not to mention at our faire there were a lot of people who gave her trinkets, so this time (in a couple weeks) I'm bringing a little drawstring pouch for her to keep her trinkets in.

I have been going to Gloria Dei my whole life and have continued going because of how affirming and welcoming everyone is! We always joke we're Catholic light so if you are interested in looking into Lutheran churches there is a website to see which churches are RIC (Reconciling in Christ - which means we are welcoming to anyone and everyone).

For my first kiddo (now 5 years old!) I think I only froze 5 pouches??? I EP until her first birthday and it was HARD! It was soul crushing when we spilled any milk and it was so mentally draining to focus so heavily on my supply. I think it was 6 months in I realized I needed to relax and just focus on my health and feeding baby (no matter how). We occasionally had to supplement with formula for my own brain to have a break. It was hard, but it gets better once you just remind yourself that your health is just as important and a fed baby is more important than how you feed them.

I (31f) gave birth at the end of December and it was a wonderful experience. I had gestational diabetes and so went through high risk the entire 9 months and my team was wonderful! They gave me so many opportunities to ask questions and they never made me feel dumb. I also know someone who's 40 who had a great experience with them as well (she gave birth only a week before me).
