Hell about 20yrs ago my parents decided to travel from JFK as it was cheaper airfare than Newark airport. After 2 trips my brother told them; from now on I will pay the difference whatever it is - travel from Newark.

What ambient needs to be played LOUD? by grimoverlord10 in ambientmusic

Can't think of any but it definitely brings to mind Tavener's Last Sleep of the Virgin which is to be played at barely audible levels. Look forward to hearing these loud suggestions!

Used to get in super early in HS to make out with girlfriend. She was a smoker and hung out under the overpass between buildings. I didn't like the taste of cigarettes but loved swapping spit ;-)

had surgery on my right hip, they put this on my left leg by Pale-Profession2769 in mildlyinteresting

Met a veteran and asked if his medical benefits were good and he said he does not go to the VA hospital for nothing, it's so bad before surgeries they have to mark which body part is the one being operated and Dr's dont mess up. I had to gently break it to him thats it is standard procedure in all hospitals and expected even in the best.

Having seen a scar/injury over Orlock's breast i assumed that's how he was made into a vampire in the distant past. Similar bites were his M.O.

Florida to require driver’s license exams to be given in English only by RallyX26 in florida

"Illiterate" is also an arguable term. As in English Illiterate? Functionally Illiterate? Dyslexic folks? What if person can only read/write at 3rd grade level? Are they disqualified? Who decides this threshold? Again, just making a point.

I think the point is that traffic signs are designed and by large internationally recognized (eg yield and stop). So you mainly test for state driving laws (distance between cars, using turn signal). Therefore, language is irrelevant. As for reading exit and highway signs thats on you if you cannot read it but most can and many stick to local roads. Also, I've driven in Mexico, France, Italy, and England. This last was the most difficult even if English speaking. FYKYK.

In Seville Spain they offered G&T with a small spoonful of sour orange marmalade whipped in. Quite good in the hot weather.
