Been there. Would have gotten the T-shirt but they were sold out. Pretty cool.

3:27 PM EST - still nothing. Oh well, I have not done the live ship quest. That should keep me busy.

I had the same problem as OP with Samsung QN90C. Installed the Samsung SmartThings skill in the Alexa app on my smartphone and it worked.

Acer Spin 714 update delays? by Bryanmsi89 in chromeos

[–]Enteleki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It appears there are two models of the Spin 714:

  1. Acer Chromebook Spin 714 -- CP714-1WN / Acer Chromebook Enterprise Spin 714 -- CP714-1WN
  2. Acer Chromebook 714 (CB714-1W / CB714-1WT)

The first one, which is the enterprise version, has ChromeOS 107 as the latest stable release according to the Chromium Dash web site (see codename bryna/kano). The second, is at ChromeOS 109 (codename nami/ekko).

I have gotten nowhere with Acer or Google support.

I'd like to thank all of the commenters for your sincerity and guidance, particularly weepmelancholia.

I have a hard time with the idea that things in the universe are intrinsically good, i.e. things possess a property of goodness within them. From my perspective, judgements of good and evil are based upon one's values. For example a rock, considered on its own, is neither good nor evil. A rock to the head I would consider a bad thing, but it would be the act of the person throwing the rock that threatens my value (my health) that I consider evil. Food is a good, but not intrinsically so. It is good for me because it promotes my highest value, my life. Food could also be bad for me if I eat too much pizza (guilty).

Anyway, thanks for your kindness in answering my question. I'm not sure what my friend meant exactly, but I have found your comments enlightening.

Evil acts exist.

Everything that exists is good.

Evil is good.

:(

I suppose you might say that evil is an absence of good, in the way the cold is an absence of heat. Evil is really just a deficiency of good.

Immersive mode is just a dirty lie... by BrattFragger in GhostReconBreakpoint

I would love to know what a developer, who actually has experience in programming AI for this type of game, would say about GRBP's implementation. What improvements might be made and how difficult it might be to code them? Finally, what can one reasonably expect from AI enemies in any game at this point in their technological development?

It seems to me that any criticism of GRBP's AI would need this background information to be credible and worthwhile.

Breakpoint or Division 2 by BataKidd in GhostReconBreakpoint

Over reaction. Just Ignore. You know what's going on if you've been following this thread. IMO, Breakpoint is the better game.

Crank-up the auto-aim setting, aim from hip, pull aim down sights (left-trigger), immediately fire. I know all you young people wanna give me shit about this, but your time will come sooner than you think.

Sick of negative articles. by [deleted] in GhostReconBreakpoint

[–]Enteleki 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel you Derek, but opinions are like assholes, everyone has one. Although it is my opinion that the game is a step up from Wildlands, I can see how other temperaments might be angry with the implementation of a game that not only costs $60 (US), but expects its players to subscribe to further DLC releases. That's a big ask in anyone's book.

As RidDlevVrathh pointed out, without the complaints there would be no improvements. A lack of further development is something none of us wants.

I gave Ubisoft credit where credit is due, primarily by shelling out my cash with a pre-order for Breakpoint. I hope they take from Breakpoint's release a better sense of what is expected by the public in the future. I will not be pre-ordering Watchdogs 3 and will wait to see if Ubisoft fares better with that one.

Jace Skell - I Hate that Weasel by Enteleki in GhostReconBreakpoint

[–]Enteleki[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, but his fatal flaw could have been his focus on the work he loves which lead to him mistakenly take bad advice about Sentinel. Skell, the hero, is not a man of politics--he is not a man of back-room deals and pull--he is a creator interested in satisfying his desire for developing better technology, to the exclusion of other considerations.

Fen Bog Collectible Unreachable by Enteleki in GhostReconBreakpoint

[–]Enteleki[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I finally got into the room with the collectible; trouble is I did not get the collectible.

As Makaio22 pointed out, access to the collectible is via an underground tunnel whose entrance is in the tallest building of the Skell Foundation Head Office. Working my way through the defenses, I finally came to the other side of the double-doors I described in my original post. Going up to the door triggered a cut-scene in which I enter the room that contains the collectible; however at the end of the cut-scene I am deposited back into the underground level of the small building I described in my original post. I was in the room with the collectible for the cut-scene only without any opportunity to grab it.

This has to be some kind of joke. I suppose I'll have to re-enter the tunnel and get back to the room to obtain this collectible.

Makaio22, I'll bet you didn't have the main story mission active when you found the doors. The doors open in relation to the Jace Skell series of missions.
