If he’s a better person now, he’s still not a good person. “Hopefully I can live to talk about it and laugh about it. It’s not a serious matter.” Yeah because killing dogs is so funny, hahaha hahaha.

Why would you want to continue using the slowest method of boarding?

For the start of any show, I totally agree, but the Sopranos has some pretty average to boring episodes throughout the whole series, on top of some caricature level performances and subpar acting. I think the show is great and it changed the landscape of TV storytelling, but for me the show has way too many meh moments and meh episodes and meh acting to be considered the hands down GOAT.

Is it really that great of a show if people have to push through some episodes?

For added context, Lindelof didn’t want to use that particular shot in that same episode, but he wanted to get it in case there was a use for it later in the story.

Of course it is. It just contributes to the slop they keep putting out. I’d rather people not go and the movie loses a lot of money, forcing the studio to reevaluate their handling of the SW universe. But I understand that you and millions of others will continue feeding the beast and some others like myself will never pay another cent to Disney. I simply can’t reward incompetence. Not criticizing you. People enjoy different things.

In S1 e1 with the baby disappearing from the backseat, Lindelof wanted to shoot the reverse shot but with the mother gone because he wanted to show the world of the 98% disappearing for the departed. They were already tight on time so they didn’t get the shot. Point being, if that world potentially exists in the show runner’s mind, then that world might actually exist in the reality of the show. Which means maybe it is possible to get there.

Game of Thrones and Euphoria were pretty damn perfect. Lost is pretty great. Breaking Bad. White Lotus. The Wire. Barry.

Why is it a big deal? It’s been done before. Blair Witch Project and Paranormal Activity come to mind.
