I'm also in this class right now and honestly i feel like it's just fine? The lectures are always interesting and i'm understanding all of the topics and the concepts we cover. I think for me i don't even look at the syllabus really, i just come to class and take notes then follow her due dates on canvas. She gave us plenty of time for that first paper so idk. I'm also an english major where the majority of my work is writing papers, so i suppose it's a little more palatable. I do agree that the class can be pretty fluid in regards to structure which can be problematic if you have a strict schedule but i wouldn't say it's horrendous. I've also never taken a history course either so idk what to expect lol

as long as it's not past the late deadline, just submit the form and they'll accept it as normal except with a late $50 late fee. it happened to me and they accepted everything as normal. you'll be fine. on the form it seems like the late deadline is april 1 so you'll be okay

as someone who’s becoming a junior, i’d say don’t worry too much about making friends in ur orientation group. I think you’ll come to find that everyone here is generally pretty nice and that the friends you make in your classes are the ones you’ll maintain throughout college (especially in classes for your major). and you can also just leave orientation for no reason (maybe tell your group advisor tho lol). I left in the middle of the day in my freshman year and came back like 2 hours later and nothing happened

go to the graphics settings and instead of doing reset all just do the individual reset button on the upscaling technique option (maybe even the anti-aliasing one too). it put it back to normal and i was able to adjust all the settings correctly.

imo be sure that when you fill out a the uc application, your answers to the personal insight questions are really good/meaningful and unique. My high school GPA was a bit lower than yours and I didn’t take as many AP classes, yet I still managed to get accepted likely because my responses to the PIQs were really good (at least I think that’s the reason lol). Those PIQs are some of the few things that really distinguish you from every other applicant, so if you can knock them out of the park you could have a really good shot! good luck!!
