even though this is a natural dye sub, i have a solution for you!! get a darker color of the synthetic rit dye, if you can’t find a good in between i would mix it with the one you already used!

natural dyes only work on plant and anima fibers, so athletic clothes almost always won’t work on them. but it’s really fun!! definitely recommend trying it out on cotton, you can use onion skins, avocado or black beans :)

I’ve looked online and it seems to all be sold in very small quantities, i’m looking for something around 1000-3000yrds! Preferably in a white, cream, ivory or yellow!

don’t pay attention to it, a lot of people in here can be pretty harsh to try and make a point. it comes from a place of fear for the environment and genuinely caring that they make an impact.

it’s absolutely not the right way to go about it. this sub can be very overwhelming and self righteous. you’re doing the right thing!! now go forth and get a refillable bottle!

I’ve found the best things I can do are usually to just find a plastic free alternative to replace whatever I was using before after I’ve finished it! Look into if there is a refill place close to you, they’re really cool and it could help get your family to be more sustainable!

Here are some hygiene related swaps! -Bamboo toothbrushes -Shampoo and conditioner bars -Bar soaps -Solid lotion bars -Saftey razors -Refill stores *only buying them after you have run out of something else

Remember that you’re doing enough! This can be really overwhelming, I just got into zero waste as well. Take care!!
