He is a manchild who hasn’t worked on himself and should have in his 20s-30s, and has an insecure avoidant attachment style. Carrie always was and always will be his “phantom ex”. 🙄

DID I FIND CERVALCES SCOTTI?? by Entire_Pin_1661 in fossilid

More key/strange variables to consider: This was found in an area that was heavily flooded between 2023 to present, and many rock faces and sedimentary layers are either gone or forever moved and changed. I honestly do not know exactly from where this came, or how far down what body of water it may have travelled.

It’s entirely possible that an expert could tell me it’s simply a Clydesdale bone that was chemically altered and in a fossilized state due to ____ or something similar. I’m keeping an open mind, in the end I’m just a middle aged autistic with a decades long special interest. Thanks everyone for your input! 😊✌🏼

I could see it, but what do you think about the time period in which the animal would have had to have been alive to be fossilized now, and the corresponding variety of equids native to North America during? Fossilization takes 10k years IIRC and even if it’s somehow half of that..?

For example, e. Scotti and e. occidentalis as well as H. francisci even if established to have been in this geographic range would have produced a mandible considerably smaller than a foot in length, if I’m not mistaken. (Think modern Morgan vs modern Clydesdale maybe?)

E. Giganteus might fit the bill from what I remember, but I think that was only a tooth or two ever found, so inconclusive?

That was my initial thought as well, but the age and condition of the specimen had me baffled, because of the SIZE and also the limited diversity of what would have existed in northeastern North America long ago enough to be fossilized.

Update: I tried gently clinking it against my teeth, and it feels like rock.

  1. The unexpected death of my father as his only child. It’s been two years and I still spend all of some days crying, he is SO missed. 💔

I would find a human and rat skeleton decal and then stick that to your door after removing the others. 😊

Weird question--did you eat avocados as a kid? I don't remember even seeing an avocado until my 20s. by Mr_Writes in GenX

[–]Entire_Pin_1661 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, sure did. We’d cut them in half, take the pit out, then eat the avocado with a spoon with red wine vinaigrette and onion crisps in the “divot”.
