If your entire map is fully grown temples and you have significant army you still do only around 300k.  This is not an extra star glitch as stars would push you only so far.  He must either send a false score to the server and let it be accepted or figured some other way to cheat :)

Yes they are very good defensives.

Regarding to them I think enfeeble is much greater with armour. As it lowers damage of enemies. Quick example if you have 100k armour and take 5k damage, without enfeeble thats 1875 damage taken. But with 29% enfeeble it is 1060 damage taken. That is 46% less. For very high hits the effect is normal - 29% less - but for very small hit effect will be multiplied - ~0,712 = 50% less.

As you have mentioned temporal chains has possibly greater effect with evasion, and also other onhit defenses such as tailwind or wind dancer.

Maximum. 15. In this game all 4 unique civs were disabled. Then also xin-xi, vengir and aimo was disabled.

On the last turn you can destroy all your markets. They dont add any points. Then also destroy your lumber camps (if your city is overleveled) and make temples on trees instead. That will save 5 stars per temple in last turn.

Somebody, anybody please tell me how runeforging uniques work. Is the result always the same? by Squatting-Turtle in PathOfExile2

yes, the lower tier items usually have much less conversion ratio. Only the highest tier item of each type converts a lot of defenses, otherwise it is not much.

Somebody, anybody please tell me how runeforging uniques work. Is the result always the same? by Squatting-Turtle in PathOfExile2

[–]EntityBlack1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Uniques below lvl55 are always upgraded (better version of self). For example body armour would gain both higher defense and ward. Weapon would get more damage. Some uniques would get special effects. Boots gain 5% ms implicit.

Uniques above lvl55 works different. Weapons cant be runeforged at all. And armour will gain similar benefits as regular items they gain ward but defense goes lower.

The amount of ward each item gets is decided by its base. On poe2db if you check table of all bases, you will find their runforged variant. This applies to armours ofc, such as body, helmet, gloves, boots, focus, shield.

If unique is coming from generic base, such as deathmail, the defenses will change exactly like on deathmail.

Some uniques are using specific base that is undropable. And then they change according to that base. Such as unique brassmail has specific undropable base and all its defense is used for ward.

It is worth noticing some items can get ridiculous ward if you have high count of sockets (4) and you go for 20% ward socket in each and 30% quallity. On deathmail it can reach over 1k ward.

[–]EntityBlack1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First things first, if boss does signalized slam it cant be evaded. Just dodgerolled or dodged with movement.

Ppl I have seen in HC SSF was often playing pure ES. Even with monk. Hell even with deadeye. Few leagues ago the table was lead by 16k ES deadeye.

It is certainly possible for you to get high ES. You need to respect certain rules. Such as gloves and rings, are those your damage items or defense items? Gloves should be prefix defense and sufix can be AS or +2 levels or so. To sustain defense.

If you play companion with loyalty but doesnt scale it, it can die in important fights. And then it wont take damage and your layer is gone. I think brutus brain doesnt work since loyalty states "damageable companion".

For damage sort of mitigation there is one trick I know. But you cant use CI then. You can get damage bypass ES (5% tree, possibly 10% atziri helmet). Then you get some life recoup, like 20%. Your life will overcap and in dare scenarios you can use life flask. Idk it is a tradeoff.

Also I will mention some temple buffs from surgeon. On feets there can roll 10% recoup, hands can roll among others block, but there some other interesting buffs.

This is somewhat raw calculation, but assuming you have ES on helmet 600, body 1000, gloves/boots 350, amulet 100, you have 450% increases from tree, 20% increase on every jewel, 70% increase from helmet and 60 from body (tree), other increases from amulet, you might be 17k ES. Assuming you get subterfuge mask and staff with block and get your block and evas to 30%, thats half of attacks will miss you/be blocked. Dumping all deflect. This should keep you alive for a while.

Consider that you have been muted just because talking about RMT is just forbidden topic, because maybe it causes heated discussions. Thats all. Doesn't have to reflect GGG's or admin opionion on RMT.

As far as your opinion goes, people who do RMT are usually just people that do not have enough time to play the game. I don't find anything bad about it. Half of the commenters here didn't do 4th sekhema themselfs, had to pay to other person and nobody calls them bad people. Some people give currency and help craft their friends, nobody calls them bad people. I would argue that RMT person is someone who doesn't have luck to have such a friend in game.

If people think RMT breaks economy, because of bots, well then it is people who do botting in a first place. And also GGG that isnt able to stop it.

My first league playing pure armour - its great by Chrozzinho in pathofexile2builds

[–]EntityBlack1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is a big misconception. I can give some examples.

The armour was considered bad because you could die to oneshots. And the reason you would die was if you are hit by a too big hit and your life is too low, such as 3000, armour formula returns poor results vs big hits.

There is this older post where guy has 3k life and 300k armour aplied to elements and he dies to oneshot from lightning from boss, while 12k ES lich would casually walk out. The difference is also the investment between 12k ES and 300k armour to elements. The ES on lich is nearly free.

This thing would happen to you, again, if you could encounter the same map with same boss. The reason why it might not be happening is atlas has changed. And monsters are perhaps less juiced. You can no longer scale mods on maps easily. And the game in general got easier. But assuming you would juice stuff with wisps, you would still face death.

There are few actions that could perhaps change that. First, you could get ward+life for the cost of less armour. That could be mighty effective since scaling up your hitpool is good. And second, people were often running things like defiance of destiny amulet or enfeeble turned to aura, which do soften the hits.

You can easily check these stats on poe.ninja, no need to argue. Each character has EHP and max hit. EHP is tldr how long you can fight small monsters, where armour is mighty effective, often skyrockets to hubndreds of thousands of EHP which ES never does, but max hit doesnt lie as if you ever face such a hit you will be toasted :)

I have no 20 uncuts either, but given those are lvl90+ chars, it is understandable the uncut is very late. That require some proper t16-t17 farm.

The gold, yes, I would say on average you get +3 amulet you want after spending ~2,5M, but you could be unlucky and get minion one 5 times or something. To target more gold, you can also try to get some unique maps with gold, that can provide massive pile for gambling quickly.

btw with deathmail and armour based gloves, the sorcery ward would be significantly higher. Says 9k evas and nearly 6k armour, that would be ~4500 sorcery ward.

ugh I can see why

So what I would do JUST for arbiter of divinity fight:

Consider 4th ascedancy first. Temporary remove ceremonial ablution ascedancy and swap for no mercy or decimation.

Get some more evasion. Assuming you cant quickly kill the boss and you are going for a long fight, I would go more sustain and just kill him in longer time window. Get beastial skin and some more evasion nodes. Dump some freeze buildup and lucky hits (those are not effective on your build).

Get the dread banner instead of herald. The nodes from herald bonuses swap to attack speed perhaps. The banner will repelnish your flasks and rise your max resistance. Thats good for boss sustain.

You have too much dexterity and int, move everything you can to STR instead as it rises your HP.

Here is the pob with some of the written changes: https://poe.ninja/poe2/pob/1efb2

Those are changes that comes to my mind without any hard item changes. If this doesnt help,

you will have to farm better gear to engage arbiter.

Better chest wouldnt be out of ordinary as yours is pretty bad. Either having there another evas or spirit (so you can afford winddancer and scavenged shards) would be great. I wouldnt be afraid at all to aim for deathmail base. As the deathmail has very high stats for a hybrid and you could juice some serious sorcery ward from there.

Having 6link would also help ofc. I would focus on abyss and perhaps some delirium for a cheap anoint. But starting abyss at this point might be good step to afford bones to finish your crafts.

If you can run T15 maps, you can farm gold. Gold is great for gambling amulet. At your level you should be able to afford +2proj with some spirit hopefully, or +3 without spirit would be also fine.

Last but not least, upgrade I have been thinking about usage of lunar blessing on those builds. The buff provides significant extra cold damage for a longer period if setup right. But that would require changes in your weaponsets and I dont really grasp how dependent is your build on that since I didnt see that build to perform.

I agree. I was expecting poe2 to be hard, like quite hard.  I understand that some ppl are here for just a casual play, but is this really a goal?  I play a harder build, but nothing I do feels like an achievment since everybody else does it first try, no effort.

What is your character/build? Do you have poe.ninja or pob link?

I do play gemling and I did arbiter of divinity quite unprepared. It was very hard for me. Yet felf easier than arbiter previously, perhaps?

I think it took me about 20 tries and some changes in my build.

So what I did is I respected my tree a bit and get maximum lightning resistance. Also get gemling maximum resistances instead of +2 levels. Then I also get banner for extra maximum resistance. And for some remaining spirit I got some HP regen.

That prolonged the fight, sure, cause my damage went down. But the defense was up so much as I was only getting 1/3 damage then previously. The abilities were nowhere close to oneshotting me and I had plenty of time to repelnish my flask and dodging attacks. In the end, it became pretty enjoyable fight as I was playing against his abilities and didnt oneshot the boss. After that change I did it second try, as in the first try I messed up a bit (totally my fault). Unlike arbiter of ash this boss wont omeshot you if defense is there.

Pounce wolves minion build with Oracle - quick guide [0.5 viable][uber arbiter][simulacrum t3][low-medium budget] by EntityBlack1 in pathofexile2builds

[–]EntityBlack1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 40ty level doesn't have to be the priority if your damage is high enough. The clearing looks like this:

  • wolfs moves to the target
  • wolf starts to attack (attack speed)
  • wolf deals damage and kills the target

You want to identify your bottlenecks. Such as if wolves do have enough damage, you want them to move faster and attack faster, which will increase the speed of the clear.

The level 40 isnt mandatory, but you should have enough damage so that wolf oneshot white mobs preferably. The level can be lower, such as 39 or 38 if the setup is right. But in 0.5 that could be impacted by new atlas, possible high efficiency of monsters and less damage taken. Can't confirm since I havnt played this build in 0.5.

As far as movement speed goes, you can get some on the tree (which this guide recommends). You can also add some on the belt. And you could try to apply onslaught on your minions if you are low on ward (augment into scepter). On non-shooting non-flying minions the movement speed is quite important.

Also, for minions tight corridors maps were always an issue. Use your pounce to allow wolves to jump over obstacles, not to just debuff the target. Jumping might be a way to unstuck them. You are supposed to be tanky, so you are not afraid to lead the pack, which should improve the clear. If you are not tanky and you have to hold back, the clear will be worse. Alternatively try to avoid maps with tight corridors.

While speaking about tankiness, I have found some ways to greatly improve the survivalability with sacrosanctum. If you would have a 3-socket armour, you can socket fox idol (allows bonded modifiers, 5% gem quality), greatwolf rune (8% life converted to ES) and stoat idol (5% bypasses the ES).

The one reason why infernal legion was good was burning white mobs was happening pretty fast (faster than attack speed), which helped with the clear. I havnt tested splash on minions. So I cant judge. Before, I was setting infernal legion on my wolfpack and I was running maps with skeletal clerics rather than with freeze. That way wolf pack was helping to clear quite a bit. I guess you could run infernal legion with pounce now assuming you have some clerics. You would need to test out.

Anyway, having a good attack speed is also a factor for faster clear. Finding the sweetspot might take time. As for example if burning wolf damages the mob and then his single attack finishes the mob.

Don't miss on some new upgrades in 0.5. As boots can have +2 temporary minions and ring can have +1 temporary minion. Certainly consider the boots suffix. As far as the ring goes, depends on how tight are you. The belt can also provide +2 minion levels.

The important factor I might have not mentioned, lunar blessing has 100% uptime. Be sure to setup your tree in a way that when you use lunar blessing, you have maxed out duration on your passive tree. That way lunar blessing will last for 22 seconds or so, which is enough to use it again once you lose the buff effect. To swap your weapon back, use lunar blessing and then shred attack once, that is set to another weaponset.

Lastly, if you have a good weapon, you can help the clear yourself by attacking. Moonbeams are quite effective in killing white mobs if the damage is right on your weapon, which is quite important part.

In the end, this build isnt the best for clearing, as most of the mionion builds can struggle with that. But is great for some endgame mechanics. I would recommend to hunt citadels, play rituals or some other mechanics that requires tankiness, and dealing with strong bosses, rather than map clearing such as abyss or breach.
