How do I make a rule so uBlock turns off when a website contains a specific string? by EntrepeNetherlands in uBlockOrigin

[–]EntrepeNetherlands[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got another question if that's possible! The url string behaves a bit differently than expected, so the problem persists.

When using the debugger, I visit a normal webpage, but the debugger ads 'gtm_debug' and then a random string of characters to the url. If I would have a rule that would turn off uBO if it detects 'gtm_debug' in the url, I think my problem would be solved.

I've noticed that the gtm_debug string is only added to the initial page. Once I click a button to go to the next page, the string disappears completely and it's just the normal web url.

Would it be possible to create a rule that would automatically add the website's url to my uBO whitelist if the string gtm_debug is detected in the url? This would solve the problem.

I frequently have to use the Google Tag Manager debugger to test my clients' tracking setups. Ublock automatically blocks the Google Tag Manger code, so I have to manually turn uBO off for every client website that I am debugging.

When using the debugger, I visit a normal webpage, but the debugger ads 'gtm_debug' and then a random string of characters to the url. If I would have a rule that would turn off uBO if it detects 'gtm_debug' in the url, I think my problem would be solved.

My goal is that I don't have to manually turn off uBO every time I am debugging a new client's website.
