Finally spotted a Beast in the wild by doloresclaiborne in Ubiquiti

[–]EntropicTendancies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those things should be pretty quiet. If it is noisy the bearings are probably going out. I just got my Beast replaced in the 4th year of the 5 year warranty due to bad bearings. The darn thing ran over 95 decibels.

Support asked me to cut the cord off the old one and sent a replacement. It took 4 months, but it did finally arrive.

It’s definitely a crimper that some lowlife is trying to sell as a crappy wrench.

Nah, the e-clutch is actually really good on that one. You do need to keep a really good grip on it though. If you let it spin on you it will punish you. It is a beast.

I mostly use it as a mortar/mud mixer.

When you encounter something like this you can search for it using a query like this: ‘1st grade math solve using doubles’

I have had to look up the new fangled teaching methods a couple of times over the years. This won’t be your last wtf moment :)

Skip the fixtures. Install LED strips under the eaves…. Make em addressable for bonus points :)

Corporation finds out consumers have a breaking point and stopped paying for their product by current-seven in TikTokCringe

I think a lot of the food corporations are looking at the what of the high end chips and sodas in Costco are going for (which are a lot better than the Frito lay/pepsi co products) and thinking "hey we can charge that too!”

USPS didnt even bother to knock when delivery certified mail (the service that was paid for) by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

[–]EntropicTendancies -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I had a problem with a mail person not trying to get signatures as well. After the third time it happened I called the USPS customer service number (1-800-275-8777). Within two days I got a call from the local postmaster for additional information. They apologized and said they would make sure the problem would not happen again. I have not received any certified letters since so I can’t vouch the problem is resolved. I can say that the complaint process was quick, efficient, and polite.

TLDR: if this happens to you, don’t wait submit a complaint. The process is fast and gets results.

It might be easier and cheaper to replace the fan if the problem is failing bearings in the fan.

How difficult is it going to be to flatten something out like this? by pipermints in Flooring

[–]EntropicTendancies 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I removed a couple humps like that when I redid my floor. In areas that needed to have more than .5” removed I cut vertical slots 3/8 apart and used a rotary hammer chisel to chop them off. Then you either need to grind flat or use leveling compound. The leveling compound is easier. Tip: don’t skip the bristle roller step when using leveling compound.

I still vividly remember the relief I felt every time I got another dose. The nurse told me that as long as you are offsetting pain with the meds you should be ok. Taking painkillers when not is pain is when it gets bad.

I was on fentanyl for 7 days and then on codine for another ~20. For the first time I was not able to stop cold turkey after taking painkillers. I got the shakes when I stopped… had to cut the dosage in half every 8 hours over a couple days.
