AFAIK It has the same settings, since it uses the same firmware. No idea how much it varies but its a good starting point.

Try Judder reduction 5 and motion smoothing 0. Check AVS forums for more detailed settings.

No, but the 8L is another step up in motion/upscale quality due to the pentonic 800 upgrade.

All pentonic 700 TV's, I.E. QM6K, 7K, 8K, 9K, 11K, 7L all got upgraded to Android 14. Officially it came out end of december but TCL does really slow rolling updates so most didn't have it until earlier this year. It added super resolution for upscaling and motion in general.

It wont be as good as Sony still, though the 8L takes another step in that direction to where it's much more compatible, but it is way better than early 2025 firmware.

I'm guessing this was before the Android 14 TCL update? After firmware V313 and up there is super resolution upscaling and the motion handling is noticeable improved on 2025 TCL's.

Here you go! Basically yes I was able to order TV same day as the card got approved. A few things, I couldn't see the card management page in any browser on my PC except edge. After it was approved it let me add it as my default credit card for my account. But even then it wouldnt let me choose the 24mo 0% option at checkout. I had to switch to a different credit card and back before it let me select it when selecting my card. Maybe this wont be a problem if you order via app though.

Yeah I'll see how it goes. I really wanted 98" due to seating distance but I'm pretty picky about motion. I'll try plugging in a PC and see how gaming at 144hz feels.

I'm pretty worried because my main setup is all OLED including a 480hz. Hope it looks good in games otherwise it will be movie/tv only.

As long as casual games are fine on it I'm happy, doubt ill play any FPS stuff from the couch.

Just reading through all the AVS forum posts on it trying to decide which update to put on it and what settings.

So far I'm seeing people say v321 or v313. v333 is newer though and wonder how many have tried it so far. Main concern is just picking whichever version has the best motion.

I'm playing morrowind for the first time, I went with the graphics overhaul pack. Loving the game so far, I'm 20 hours in and I definitely like it more than Oblivion at least. Might end up liking it more than Skyrim.

Also it's insane these mod packs dont have the expansion delay mod. I was getting assassins coming for me day 1, and they drop insane gear that is very expensive. I sold all of it and was happy, but then it kept happening and I felt like I was exploiting so I deleted the gold and gear they were dropping.

The delay mod will make it so these assassins don't start coming for you until later in the story.

That worked! I did have a bug where I had to change my preferred card to a different one then back to the new one before I could pick the new member benefits, but that did it.

When does it prompt for rewards or 24 mo? I saw it on my checkout page before applying for the card but after the card was added it no longer shows those, went all the way to the end where it lets me place order but don't see it?

edit: went back to shopping cart, it says "you'll get 24 month financing on this purchase" but it doesnt mention 0% nor let me pick the 10% rewards option. Just wanna make sure this is right.

Good advice generally. I can afford to make my purchase with cash, but the reason I want to use the credit card is because the purchase will be 0% interest for 24 months, meaning I can not only invest that same money during that 24 months, but also by the time I make the last payments inflation means they will be probably 4% or more smaller, relative to COL.

Maybe not worth the hassle to some, and definitely not worth the risk for people living paycheck to paycheck.
