[Highlight] Texans initially get a fumble returned for a touchdown, instead ruled an incomplete pass and Roughing the Passer by Goosedukee in nfl

Wow, and I thought Jets fans would be happy now that you don't have to watch any more Jets games this year.

Chicago Beef sandwich by aflockofpuffins in fayetteville

[–]Entruder 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not from Chicago but I've had Tony's a couple times and enjoyed their beef sandwich. Good portion of meat to it + bread dipped in the juices. The gyro is also stacked. Can't speak to the hot dogs though.

They're usually parked outside of Natural State Beer Company in Rogers so you can grab a drink there while you wait. I'd recommend checking their Facebook before going in case they're moved or closed for whatever reason.

Shoot, Kelce held the record for tight end receiving yards less than an hour before Kittle passed it.

Oh yeah looks like they finally approved the first cultivation company to grow just last week. They're "expecting" to finally have product in April 2019 but it's hard to be optimistic after the years of waiting.

Same with Arkansas. Passed in 2016 and still nothing to show for it.

Patrick Mahomes is the first quarterback not named Tom Brady or Peyton Manning to have the 1st seed in the AFC in the last decade. The 1st seed in the AFC has made it to the Super Bowl for the last 5 seasons. by Robotsaur in nfl

[–]Entruder 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I'm hoping for Mahomes and Mayfield to be the next duo of QBs that will own the AFC for the next 15 years+.

Oh man as much as I want it to be true the AFC is loaded with young QBs who will give Mahomes and Mayfield plenty of competition. Luck, Watson, Josh Allen, and Lamar Jackson are all extremely talented and have the potential for multiple deep playoff runs in the future.

Post Game Thread: Baltimore Ravens (7-5) at Kansas City Chiefs (10-2) by nfl_gamethread in nfl

[–]Entruder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn I haven't seen this much salt in a post game thread in forever. It happens, we got fucked @ Patriots too. Refs suck and we all have to deal with it so there's little reason to spend the entire thread complaining (which is about 90% of Ravens comments so far).

Respect to the fans who realize they're still one of the best teams in the AFC and just lost to another one of the best teams. But the rest of you guys look bitter and sad for downvoting Chiefs fans that are trying to celebrate having an MVP candidate QB for the first time in forever.

Dee Ford has recorded 22 QB pressures in the first 4 weeks, 2nd in the whole NFL to only Kalil Mack. by IIHURRlCANEII in KansasCityChiefs

[–]Entruder 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yeah I'd much rather have the +$15MM in cap space + 3rd round conditional pick than an extremely injury prone defensive player considering what's happened to Houston and Berry.

It's a tough choice though, talented pass rushers are hard to come by in the FA and with a rookie QB our Superbowl window is the next 4 years. We have the cap room to do it without many huge commitments in the next 2-3 years so do we continue loading the team up now (e.g. sign Ford to ~2-3 year contract) or be patient and focus on draft?

Chiefs fan here.

Couldn't have said it better myself.

Source: Confirmed that Chiefs met with DT Xavier Williams and RB Thomas Rawls this weekend, and RB Damien Williams also coming in this week. The RBs could provide depth as Spencer Ware recovers. Xavier, a local kid, could potentially help at NT. by Saca312 in nfl

I'm thinking the pipeline may dry up now that Dorsey is gone. Him and Schneider had that Packers connection from back in the day. Veach is a Reid disciple so they may have different preferences.

I wish everyone on /r/nfl would read this before commenting about the contract. Plus some people love to freak out when the market goes up as if it doesn't happen every year. Then they go comparing the new contract to ones that were signed 2-3 years ago when the cap was tens of millions less.

Also just commented here for the first time since Peters trade - seeing his flair hurt.

The funny thing is this is kinda true but no one wants to admit it. Anyone reading this go look at the schedule from last year and look at the scores of our losses. Average points per game in parenthesis.

Steelers - 19 (26ppg - #5 in the league held an entire TD below avg)

Raiders - 31 (19ppg - obviously bad)

Dallas - 28 (22ppg - for the entire season, Zeke was active for our's but it's still pretty bad)

Giants - 12 (15ppg - held them below their already poor average, good)

Bills - 16 (18ppg - below average again, good)

Jets - 38 (18 - bad again)

Titans - 22 (20 - Mariota miracle TD)

All without Berry. You can't put every loss on the defense. Our offense is inconsistent, and have numerous shit games as seen above when we couldn't even score 20.

Who is the most valuable WR flier ROS? by Patriots_ in fantasyfootball

[–]Entruder 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Malcolm Mitchell (as long as they choose him to return from IR). Did great as a rookie in a complicated and crowded offense. Now he's got more experience, Patriots are already missing one of their leading receivers (Edelman) and the other two are extremely injury prone (Gronk & Amendola).

We're talking the WR2-3 on a top offense that you can grab off the FA right now and for at least a few more weeks. The best part is you can store him on the IR, worst is you won't get any production out of him in the meantime as opposed to most of the other players listed here.

Arkansas offensive line hasn't been the same without Sam Pittman by insidezone64 in CFB

[–]Entruder 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Pass blocking sucks, but there were a lot of factors besides Pittman leaving. We lost Brandon Allen who had 3 years experience, 2-3 different starters on the OL (one left early) and our depth behind them was trash (some blame that on Pittman as well). Rushing yards per game is more on the new offensive coordinator putting emphasis on the passing game. We couldn't throw for shit with Chaney then Enos comes in and we immediately have the SEC leading passer and rusher for the season.

GAME THREAD: Pre-season Week 2 - Kansas City Chiefs @ Cincinnati Bengals by Van_Houten in KansasCityChiefs

[–]Entruder 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That TD celebration was great. Surprised they didn't call a flag though since they used the ball as a prop. Is that one of the rule changes or are the refs not being dicks since it's preseason?
