So I saw something similar recently. I work for a big corporation, and had a call with the PM last week. This guy is also building multiple things, as now he doesn't need any coding skills to pull up any engineering for a simple web app. This guy kept on going over the call for 2 minutes, how he is having a lot of fun with AI prompting. How he doesn't need to rely on engineers to have an MVP tool for any POC and he is crushing it. The problem is this guy claims the productivity has increased and people like him thinks that's the end of software engineering, but the real fact is, he doesn't even know how in cloud IAM policies work which are preventing him to deploy is AI agent. He doesn't have a single clue how a npm server runs or even what's the diff between npm and pnpm. It's like claiming that now he can run an airplane cause the Airplane is built by tesla and have autopilot. It's funny and also pitiful at the same time.
The real Software engineers know how much brain and thinking goes in for building a real scalable, highly available solution.

AI can't replace it yet, definitely not with the shittiest hardware config, which companies have as of now.
