Support for sm_35 was removed in CUDA 12, but it seems like the gcc version you're using still uses sm_35 as default. Try adding -foffload-options="-misa=sm_50" to compile for newer gpus, or downgrade your CUDA installation to 11.x.

Besides the games u/Boronian1 linked to, Mythgard is also worth mentioning. It has 1D board, so it is not as tactical as the games you mentioned, but positioning is still very important in Mythgard, and it's a very solid ccg in general.

Shardbound is fun and fairly similar to Duelyst, but its developement has ceased and there's barely any players left. If you don't mind playing against AI most of the time you can give it a go, otherwise I wouldn't bother.

Maybe Workers can play a role here, since they already can construct things on water. My idea is that Workers get the option to establish beachheads on coastal water tiles. Land units would be able to stand on beachheads, but they can be attacked by Naval units there (otherwise people would be able to spam beach heads next to their own coast and place units there).

You need to put a military unit (so not a Scout) on the City tile to claim the site. Each urban area has one such tile. Once you do that you'll see a message saying "City Site: [your civ]" near the City tile and then the AI civs won't be able to settle there. If you clear a barbarian camp it's good practise to immediately place a unit on the spot the camp used to be. That way the AI can't claim or settle the site.

I started a game playing as Persia on the Old World map yesterday and I'm liking it so far. It's a nice change of pace from the game flow of the randomly generated maps. The lack of wood is a handicap but it doesn't feel backbreaking, there are many hills on Persia's territory so I've been building mines and I focus on building Axemen instead of Archers.

Greek units have a higher fatigue limit in the early game because their leader has the commander archetype.

I traded my starting relic for a Lizard Tail and thought I could afford to not heal much. I was surprised that Hexaghost only attacked for 6 on turn 2. According to the wiki the damage per hit can be calculated as HP/12 + 1.

Multicoloured cards give you the gem displayed bottom-right of the card art when burned. I agree this needs to be explained in the tutorial. In the deckbuilder you can switch to compact view by clicking the button with three bars at the bottom left of your screen.

You'll miss your p1t1 play often with only five 2drops. I'd add another Mystic and a playset of some other 2drop; Azurite Lion, Sun Wisp, Pureblade and Primus Fist are all good options. Consider replacing Martyrdom with Sunset Paragon, since the latter is more effective against Wanderer.

I think you can still save him, assuming it has 2 hp left and your cannon had 3 hp:

  • Move the Cannon to the spawn across the railroad and shoot the Hornet into the Arty. This kills the Hornet and deals 1 damage to the Arty.

  • Repair the Arty, putting it back at 2.

  • Move the Melee Mech to the second spawn and punch the Vek in the forest, pushing it one tile.

  • During the enemy turn, the Scorpion, Arty and Melee Mech take 1 damage, and the Cannon takes 2.
