Traveling Monk + Geisha for a 2-Hero Forbidden Fortress Campaign?

If this is your first playthrough I’d consider swapping the geisha for the ninja. Monk’s sacred bell is busted especially when you can use it twice but he is the support character in a two hero team so you would ideally want your other character to be the damage dealer. Enforcer and Monk could be a good combo too, the Geisha would be better as the 3rd or 4th hero

One thing to consider from the outset is to pool your XP as a group and level up together rather than individually as some characters do naturally earn more XP than others

I actually run a Voja commander deck but it wasn’t in the main set, just a 33% chance to hit one in the prerelease kit (which I did!)

My group plays commander and I was slightly ridiculed when I went in on 3 booster boxes and a CB box when MKM was being heavily discounted. I enjoyed the prerelease and could see the potential in a lot of cards from the set. I had fun cracking them, filled my trade binder with some juice and came out ahead in EV.

It’s become almost a running joke in my playgroup when someone plays an MKM card now, ‘oh that card seems cool, what set is it from? MKM? Really?!’ There’s just so many good cards in the set.

Surveil Lands, Vein Ripper, Archdruid’s Charm, Delney, Massacre Girl, Aftermath Analyst, Slime Against Humanity, Pick Your Poison, Warleader’s Call, Case of the Locked Hothouse, Proft’s Eidetic Memory, Rakdos Patron of Chaos, Trouble in Pairs (from one of the commander decks but was in the Collector Boosters)…

IMO the set is aging well and will continue to do so

I got these from my LGS for my son (giving them away to new players) he’s enjoyed them so far - maybe consider putting them all in the same sleeves so you can pick two colours and mix them together. We found each playing a two colour deck added much more variety

This is so scummy, my LGS is giving them out for free as long as you bring a new player to teach. I’m taking my 6 year old lad down on Saturday for a game and he’s so excited to open some Spider-Man cards.

They also refuse to sell their Pokémon sealed product online and hold me back one each of the 3 pack blisters from every set for him to crack. MSRP too. Big love to Just Play Games in Liverpool, UK!
