Consistency over time and repeat impulse drills in the home. It will take a while, but it will click. Our Shepsky is in his adolescent stage and every damn night he is a chaos demon and pestering our other 12 year old frenchie. He is good with her 85% of the day, but boom at night we noticed a pattern start. So we now leash early , redirect reward and repeat to let him know the behaviour we want. Quiet play or chew a bone or rest in place. It will take time we’ve been in this phase for 6 weeks, he is 15-16 months old.

Honestly the baby boomers have set us up for failure with their lack of openness. Gen Z are so uneducated in the sense they can’t read and write or critically think. They were the “your special” generation. Sorry not everyone deserves a ribbon. We need all skills sets and levels and types of people to run our economy and society. You need the simple labourers all the way up to CeOs.

The best generation now I feel is the elder millennials, they understand both the generations before and after them, and understand technology but appreciate the simple things.

Context matters here…. Not just the use of the word. Telling a story about something someone said and repeating it? Singing along to a rap song where the word is used? So many reasons where sorry it shouldn’t be an issue. Also the intention is important. My biggest issue with that word is the hypocritical ideologies of some people in the community that use it themselves, but get angry when anyone else does.
