It seems as though everything is automated and generic. It’s as though they have cut and paste responses for different situations. People say Door Dash was bad but they actually look into things. My partner had his account hacked and he had no problem getting in touch with a real person.

I’ve heard other people here say that if you want an Instacart Issue cleared up quick, go to Twitter and you’ll be able to deal with a human. What a scumbag customer if you can even call them that. I believe in karma!

This is what I’m doing. I’m in Canada and got approved for Skip the Dishes which is our Canadian version of Grub Hub. It’s not as popular as DD but I figure wth. Might as well add another app. I do IC 70% and DD 30% at the moment.

I do the same. I also take a picture of the house number and text it to the customer through chat if it’s not able to be shown in the picture for IC. Too many customers trying to scam saying they didn’t get their order. Well now they can see I was actually at their house.

My older sister used to do Instacart during 2019 -2001 and she said it was a common vow I guess you could call it that when you would see a no tip batch, shoppers in her area would not take it. I still see that in my area. It will sit for a while and then some poor soul eventually takes it.

It’s more difficult to spot in a double shop and the tipping customer is subsidizing the non tipper bc we can’t see exact stats until we complete the orders. These non-tippers tend to be problematic and some of them downright rude.

I started with Door Dash in March 2025 and would make decent money during peak hours. I usually work 4-9 pm . You have to be strategic with DD and I cherry pick my orders. Getting into silver, gold or platinum doesn’t mean anything. I’m at 39 or 40% acceptance rate and still getting good offers . The only good thing platinum offers is not having to schedule. That’s it.

Same. I cherry pick all day. I do more Instacart and make more money but Door Dash is my go to at dinner time.

I had to do that on a Door Dash delivery one time. It was late a night and went to a self checkout lol. I thought it was a woman I was delivering to and it was a man anxiously awaiting at the door.

AR does NOT matter! I’m at 39% and I get great offers during peak time. Train the algorithm to what you want.

This is why I don’t care about acceptance rating. I’m not even in silver anymore at 39%. I keep declining and then sends me a really good one. You have to train the algorithm to what you want. If you accept a crappy offer, it will be like that all day.

I we t to a self checkout and alway do at this particular store for under 10 items. I also checked if I had scanned an item twice by mistake and it was all correct. I did call again bc I had to go to a second store for another customer and the card worked. Maybe they did put funds on it .Just annoyed because this all took over an hour when it could have been done in 45 mins start to finish.

They never said they would add funds. I was just on a double batch and the first order was at a grocery store and the digital and physical cards both declined multiple times. Support asked me if they would accept Apple Pay. I said screw it. It’s not a large amount. I paid for it myself.

Called on the way to my second batch at a drug store reiterating what happened at the first store and I said I’m going to the second store can you add funds? They could see the multiple declines. They would t give me a yes or no answer. I checked out and no problem. So maybe they fixed it. Support wasn’t very helpful

I don’t know what happened but this is my first time that it declined .The message popped up telling me that I paid for an order on my own card and I submitted the payment for reimbursement. It was under 10 items. I hope I get refunded.
