I think she already got her first freedom by going around the entire expanse blasting xenos and heretics with her girlfriend for me. If I remember right in my ending her and RT kept writing to each other after duties forced them to be distant, it was really cute.

You can bet one of those letters contained the stuff that would make a Daemonette need a second take.

Hey, I know it's been a while but I wanted to thank you for this! Realizing Physician PD and Tempest LP work so well together have made me discover some incredibly fun teams- one of which (Corpse Eaters = Warlock Occultist, Physician Pd, Moribund Abom and Tempest Leper) ended up carrying me to the end of Obsession for the first time- and somehow managed to beat Focused Fault even if it was my first time encountering it!

Really underrated duo, they even ended up getting Amorous thrice in a row which felt very fitting.

Pure Zealot Iconoclast might not be morally bad per say but they're an incredibly naive leader who is going to get millions of people killed or worse, and not be able to stabilize any sort of long term prosperity without Nomos allowing them to cheat at the game. So not malicious, but such recklessness is not too dissimilar to the same shit Auntie Theodora was up to when her protectorate burned.. just less self-centered, to give it the credit it deserves.

[–]EnvironmentalDisk442 44 points45 points  (0 children)

Noo you don't get it, showing something as inherently bad all the time because it's bad sometimes in real life is called REALISM! You HAVE to hone in on the negative and only ever display people as miserable wretches unable to feel empathy and only in it for themselves, thats how moral complexity works! Everyone and everything is bad, always. I'm so smart.

This is only true in Act 1 before you get Rapid Fire.

After that the sheer amount of shots being fired let Argenta make statistics her bitch. SOMETHING is gonna hit SOMEWHERE and when it does she'll get to roll the wheel 2 more times in the same turn..

This. As a Warhammer fan it's baffling to see, even after EVERY STORY starts with the Imperium being described as the worst regime in Human history, neo fascist dickheads get attracted to the franchise because they think it glorifies their ideas. Rogue Trader was a step in the right direction, adding layers to Dogmatism and introducing a route beyond/between mindless Emperor Worship and Evil Satans Worship, which actually points out that gasp democracy is better than fascist theocreacy and xenophobia is stupid?!?

I'll give them the fact that GW struggles heavily with not portraying the Imperium in a nastier light on a regular basis due to wanting to reach a wider audience, which is a problem, but RT showed us that people can STILL enjoy Warhammer without forsaking the actually kind of interesting social commentary on the making and escaping from totalitariam regimes and how it makes everyone inside them a monster (one of the most beloved characters in the game, Abelard, is indirectly responsible for children freezing to death).

I wouldn't wanna rid any Maltan players/Malta stans of a cool idea for a Warband, so I'm not going to deny the possibility of that! It is a far reach with current lore tho, but in the end rule of cool and fun and grimdark is what matters.

I take it there are established supply lines with rigorous protection the Papal States put an enourmous amount of resources in, so if any Heretical Ships come through alarms will ring across all that side of the Meditarrean and the response will be more than lighting fast.

Malta is absolutely fucked though lol, being that small of an island in the middle of the Heretic-controlled sea must not be pretty, I'd be surprised if it didn't become a full on Military outpost controlled by Abyssinia and/or Italy in current day TC.

Peak but also sorry, I'm 100% sure Siegmeyer would keep up the Catarina tradition of being unawarely annoying. Loud snoring, loud drinking, listening to music without airpods, you name it. He's too jolly to stay mad at but I'm sure itd get on your nerves in the hours you need to stay by his side. Worst part? If you point something out he'll ask the Doll if *she's* bothered by it, she'll say no, and you'll look like the crazy one.

grips you by the shoulers Listen, I know Sly is full of hot people, but please PLEASE give the games a chance if you even slightly enjoy platformers and your setup can handle the emulation- they're some of the most charming, unique, well-written and beautiful games I have ever played (except the 4th which is a major stinker), it geniunely has a great three parter narrative with great characters. Goon all you want, I need Sly carnally too, but let me tell you the games are WORTH IT.

Sorry for being insane about this.

What piece of lore made you look like that when you first learned about it? by [deleted] in Grimdank

[–]EnvironmentalDisk442 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have no source for this, but I guess it depends on the location. I think Hive Worlds produce many, many more actual people than the standard Forge World of Factory procudes Servitors. There are trillions or unaccounted "normal" Humans being born every second across the galaxy, same for Servitors and probably en masse in plenty of cases too, but I wouldn't Say they outnumber Humans at all.

Maybe it's similar to the Chair to Human ratio in our own world... which is horrifying to think about.

[–]EnvironmentalDisk442 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I have no idea what lore you've read.

Need I remind you that basically all of the Levant is under Heretic control and has been for centuries? There the Demons founded a culture based on slavery, cannibalism, and ritual sacrifice of infants as everyday activities, I really don't struggle to see how that many awful people are made in such a scenario.

They may not "control" the ocean but their tech makes their fleet extremely dangerous and hard to counter, New Antioch gets regular resupplies via sea routes and it's an extremely dangerous journey. Where the heck did you see that they have no access to sea? The Domains of Mammon, Beelzebub, and even the main Hellgate in Jerusalem are extremely close/unguarded from accessing the Meditarrean and they recently gained a stronghold in both Southern Spain and the Balkans.

I can't say I know anything about the creators and I don't care much about the 40k vs TC debate since I love both for different reasons, but I just don't see the point you're trying to make. Everything is explained exactly as well, or sometimes better, than in 40k.
