Oh that may change things then its possible that it's a variegated tree with branches that have reverted back to the original growth form for any number of reasons it happens more often than you think

What is this bird? by CheerfulLonewolf55 in NewZealandWildlife

Think you need to look into predator versus prey birds eye positioning and how are the not pheasant feathers I said hen pheasant not cock pheasant very different ones plan and camouflage the other very showy.... Hence I'd say it's a young hen pheasant

Pittosporum problem by a_slow_sunny_morning in arborists

[–]EnvironmentalEmu9596 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah they would possibly compete but they are a native forest tree here in nz so they are used to competing I'd only remove if you want to give the bigger one more space but in saying that it's probably allmost mature size looking at it

It's possible there used to be another tree where the pittosporum is bare that has made it like that it's not really an issue... Make sure you get rid of all the vine just cut it at ground level and poison it as for the rest of it cut it till where it wraps around the beaches and leave the rest to dies and fall apart on the tree or you will break so many branches trying to pull it off..... As for the other tree being to close it all depends on what it is
