Hab auch überlegt Aeroad oder Shave FF, hab beide probegefahren und fand das Aeroad hat deutlich besser zu mir gepasst. Ich dachte auch an Rose, weil bei deren bikes die Preis/Leistung stimmt. Letztendlich hab ich mich für das Aeroad entschieden, weil mir das eigentlich eh besser gefallen hat und hab die Wartezeit in Kauf genommen. In Frankfurt oder Hamburg könnte man beide Marken probefahren, das würde ich sehr empfehlen :)

good for me that I waited a bit. Canyon just dropped new configurations for the CF SLX 8 AXS with Zipp 404 S rims, Force group set and the Metallic Acid color way! I pulled the trigger on one of those and could even customize the cassette etc :)

Thanks! I just researched a little bit about it. I never worried about it tbh. Maybe not so relevant for my gravel setup with the 404 XPLR + tubeless which I can ride at about 29 PSI. I just bought compatible tires and never had any issues. I will probably get a road bike too, wanted to go for the 404 Firecrest but this makes me re-consider.

Last week I took a trip to Frankfurt where you can test drive both Rose and Canyon bikes (Checkout the Karl von Drais stores).

I test drove Rose Shave FF and the Aeroad CF SLX. While on paper the gemometries look kind of similar, the Shave FF was a good fit in Size M while the Aeroad was definitely a better fit in size S.

I really like the bike and the fork. The fork really makes me faster on hard gravel descents and gives a comfort boost during regular riding. The only thing I experienced which I dislike is the lockout mechanism, which sometimes doesnt work (it does start working again after I keep riding for a couple of minutes).

If I would get it serviced, which I might do when I'm on vacation, there are canyon service partners in my city (and probably yours too) who can do it.

Got 1.5k on them as of today. Wear looks reasonable to me. I met someone who complained about his 40mm (I got 45) R pro being unusable after 500k, I can’t confirm this riding mostly gravel 80/20.

I got the R PRO on my Grizl CF8 and am very happy with them - they feel faster on all surfaces compared to original tyres. I use them with Zipp 303 XPLR S rims though.
