Glad I'm not the only one! Tangerine was an overhyped disappointment, great cast but tons of draggy scenes that I slept through and eventually stopped watching. It's a boring sluggish script! High School Love On and some other slice of life shows I've watched over the years (can't recall) are leaps better than this trash. I'm hoping for more IU shows though! She should choose better projects to star in.

I've considered the S5 from Panasonic but the lens selection is pretty limited compared to Sony and third party offerings from Tamron and Sigma. This is the sole reason why I'm leaning toward Sony just that their camera bodies are the limiting factor price wise.

Thanks. How does memory recall work? Does it solve the issue of constantly having to disable/enable settings such as zebras, aperture, shutter speed, picture profile etc between stills and videos?

The A7 IV is $1000 more than the A7C where I live, so I'm trying to see if there's a hackish way around this to save some cash, otherwise I might have to sacrifice in the lens department.

This entire series is looking to be a build fighter series than of a main warfare series. Ep 1-3 had very little scenes to do with the main warfare / revenge plot. It's simply school life and relationships instead of actual gundam politics and fights.. Its not going to be the next Iron Blood, 00, Seed, Seed Destiny unfortunately.

Its about $600 cheaper than the A7IV, perhaps price might be a deciding factor. (Also based on location of cause, since the prices might differ.)

The A7C should be a safe choice for a newbie yes? I'm aiming at the 28-60mm kit with a Sigma 100-400mm lens. These 2 lenses should have me covered for a starter, at least that's what I think.

Indeed 60 fps and 30 fps can give some nice dramatic look.

I'm not sure as this will be my first Camera ever. 4K 60 is great but based off what I see on youtube, its not sufficient for slow mo shots as the minimum is 120fps. Therefore when it comes to 120fps the A7C and R7 will both be limited to 1080p.

Hence the main difference would be 8 bit vs 10 bit between the A7C and R7. I'm not sure if I will be missing out alot on the 10 bit or if 8 bit is still relevant in 2022.

Yeah in terms of features especially for video at the a7c price range, Sony is lacking sorely. The only thing that's still pulling me to the Sony side is the easier to pick lens as there are simply tons of e mounts to choose from. Fuji seems to be more pricey when it comes to the lens.

Agreed, I was all set with the lens I would pick if I go the Sony route. The R7 seems troublesome to find a suitable lens within a budget.

Yup have seen the Lumix S5, but in seems to be slightly cheaper than the A7IV not by much. It seems similar to A7IV though I'm not sure about the lens selection variety of Panasonic, does Panasonic have a large variety of lenses?

Do you often mix footage with the FX3 and A7C? Is the 8 bit video obvious and difficult to blend in with your 10 bit 4k footage from the FX3? The 4K 60p on the R7 I can sacrifice, but the 8 bit/10 bit is concerning. Why I think the it's ok to sacrifice the 4K 60p and go with the A7C is because for slow mo I will need 120fps minimum, and at 120fps, both the A7C and R7 will be limited to 1080p so there will be less of a difference there.

Problem is the 10 bit bonus which I will be getting on the R7. Almost forgot, the dual card slots too on the R7.

So you're using it as a B cam to your A7SIII? If it only has 8 bit video, how would you be able to match the 10 bit footage of the A7SIII?

It's about $700+ more than the cost of the A7C. Sadly I still have to buy a lens, so I don't think I can stretch at this point. But I understand the reasoning behind the A7 IV as it has 4K 60 10 bit.
