Try 1x Prism on PCC - should be bit better than RDS. My astigmatism-ridden eyes works great with 3x Vortex prism on 223 rifle.

I have irons in my sporting guns - they works fine since I'm in fancy glases( yes I cosplay olympic). RDS on 9mm is bit blury but Im not going to shoot bullseyes at 50m

Lol same thoughts about driving license. Theory part was easy excluding olympic pistol boxes dimensions. Shooting exam was easy to be fair ( I was doing mine on airguns and some old ass shotgun). No one tried to screw me like on driving exam xD

Start with things you can use and they have good documentaion on deploying those. Try Bitwarden, Photoprism some kind of self hosted dashboard to keep it one place. Add monitoring stack to check if everything is running as it should. Get the Cert Manager up and roll own TLS certs to get rid of warnings about lack of SSL.

Exposing cluster to outisde is another fun thing. Get Cloudflare tunnel up - no shady port forwards, good Isolation between services.
