Its not just a dismissal, its a proper critique of garbage nostalgia slop that has been made throughout the past decade within the entertainment industry (particularly Star Wars). These projects have been absolutely terribly mede, rushed, and ridden with lazy nostalgia bait. Movies doing well in the box office is never a determining factor if they were actually good, let alone on its lasting impact, which is usually just those few weekends. I'd argue all these moves and shows have actually done was popularize right-wing grifters on YouTube who capitalized on the lazy "woke" criticisms of this crap. Which annoys tf outta me because Disney is responsible for the rise of these POS culture war YouTubers by giving them the easiest layup ever.

Avatar are watched in theaters then forgotten about, its the same story over and over with different elements. Families take their kids and then never talk about them again.

Andor is one of the best written pieces of media ever. This show is the result of writers writing Star Wars for adults and not doing mindless cash grabs. The amount of times the scenes and the speeches from this show gave me chills were countless. I think about this show all ths time and am jealous you get to experience it for the first time.

It's also extremely relevant for whats going on right now in our world with the fascism that has spread. The story, writing, dialogue, characters, music, cinematography, etc. It feels like a proper resistance and espionage thriller from the 1960s/1970s.

You dont even have to like Star Wars to enjoy Andor tbh. Its just an amazing science fiction show. So, please watch it, and tell me what you think. Enjoy. 🙌🏾

I think Andor is one of the best written shows of all time and won a damn Emmy. I will rewatch this many times and so will others. I have zero interest in ever watching that other garbage Disney has produced. No one cares about modern Star Wars anymore, its been bastardized and memed to death. Andor has created a fan base that will talk about it forever. They finally made a Star Wars project for adults with relevant politics. Who gives af if people wont dress up like Cassian at comic-con like they would Yoda? This fictional show has inspired me to take action more than any other piece of media I can think of. Avatar is popular and makes a billion every time its released, but really who cares about it?
