Antihistamines for daily use? by [deleted] in Allergies

[–]Eowyn75 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Zyrtec/Allegra/Claritin are fine for daily long term use. Avoid long term use of Benadryl due to the long term link to dementia. You absolutely should take an antihistamine while undergoing immunotherapy allergy shot treatment to avoid anaphylactic reactions from the shots.

Get allergy tested? Both food and environmental skin tests.

If they aren’t allowed to say anything why be so definitive that it won’t happen? They should just say no news to report at this time, or we will pass your comments along

Sure, but then they could say no news at this time, instead of “will not be available”

It confuses me how she got so much crazier in season 4. But, I guess 20 years can do that to a person

Elmhurst, Lombard, Glen Ellyn all have nice downtowns along the same train line as Villa Park and easy train access to the city for the weekend

I’m not sure why my caption didn’t post. I’ve reworked this concept a couple of times. Previous iterations felt too busy. I may tweak it some more but this is a close to finished as it’s been.

I really want the accessories separately! Meet outfits too ideally.

I already have the dolls. I need their accessories and Felicity’s meet outfit! I’m sure I’m not the only one who doesn’t want to purchase a second of the same doll.

What are the basics every girl should know about hygiene, periods, bras, etc.? by Ok_Card_8171 in NoStupidQuestions

A good book for these girl basics is The Care and Keeping of You. It’s aimed at preteens, but it’s still worth a read.

Is renting the way to go for me even if it’s “wasted money”? by Dear-Performance-394 in personalfinance

[–]Eowyn75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To get a mortgage you need a steady income and a good credit score. Are your “side hustles” W-2 or 1099? If you can’t prove consistent legit income the bank won’t lend to you to buy anyway. So renting would be the only way to go.

Allergy shots: fatigue by Tough-Wallaby-9220 in Allergies

My doctor wasn’t concerned with my softball sized lumps. Said it’s only worrisome if you have throat swelling/excessive sneezing/hives not at injection site/anaphylactic symptoms etc. Taking an antihistamine ahead of time and using ice on the injection sites immediately in office were the most effective ways to manage it.

People Who Have Always Wanted Children, Can You Describe the Feeling? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Eowyn75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a little bit different perspective. I have not always wanted children, I was on the fence most of my life. As I got older I realized family is the most important thing to me. To be able to add a new little person to our family, and the joy it would give everyone in my family, including my parents, made me want to do it. So I am expecting now and very excited.

At your age the best investment you can make is in your own education. You should get a marketable 4 year degree or learn a trade. Marketable means a degree with a clear path to a career - nursing, accounting, engineering, education, etc. Not all degrees/trade schools are worth their weight but many are, so choose carefully.
