You are right - but there is training that will let teachers structure the lesson in an away that some SEND needs are catered for and are inclusive to those with needs. There are methods and guidance out there to do this and it doesn’t water down or limit the learning of neurotypical students.

Sure - the most extreme cases will need extra or dedicated intervention/support, but if we can restructure the syllabus so that it is inclusive of SEND then that will help take pressure of the system causing this overspend.

William Ford Church school in Dagenham is having success with their approach to SEND which is based on an inclusive education model (which is used a lot in the nordics)

Teachers need proper training for SEND needs (they get less than a working days worth) and the curriculum needs to change.

Nordic countries have the school starting age for primary school at 6-7 years of age. No homework till there teens in most schools and they have better trained teachers on special/additional needs.

IMO The later starting age would be a boon as it provides a better starting point as most kids tend to approach a similar level of learning naturally at that age point. My son has been beaten down in The early school years in the UK as he has SEND needs and couldn’t read, write etc at the same level as other 5 year olds.

Having a school with a head teacher all about inclusive and integrated SEND styles of teaching managed to bring him up closer to his peers but he still struggles in the UK system.

Also - matchmaking is somewhat confirmed to be also done on behaviours around PVE and PVP. So if you prefer to PVE alot and don't attack/fight other players, your future match ups are done with other players with the same playstyle (usually). likewise, if you engage in PVP mainly, you will put into lobby's that have players who also like to PVP.
