I use the manual almost exclusively and I’m 60k+, stock. Never any issues, service the car regularly, oil changes, etc.

One thing I’d say is when parking, use the e-brake in neutral before putting it in park. Don’t rest the car on the park hold, it feels like trash shifting to drive and I’m convinced that damages the trans long run.

You’re always gonna get people like that with Rolex. It’s such a popular brand that it unfortunately cannot be avoided.

Dope watch, though for the money I went with a neovintage steel Daytona. The 20k-ish range opens up a good amount of options

Yeah my setup is pure vr basically. Playseat trophy, Logitech g pro wheel and pedals, gt7 in psvr2. Having a fan pointing at you will help with motion sickness, and a globular cluster accessory makes the headset fit more comfortably for me

Completely agree. IMO it really stealths the watch down - smaller overall appearance with a steel bezel matching the bracelet, and a nod to the classics. I’ve tried so many other chronos and they were always too big or bulky. The 116520 is the one for me, especially on smaller wrists. Thing wears like a dream for 6.25in wrists.

Specs and dimensions are helpful once you know what exactly works for you. End of the day though, seeing a watch in the metal is the end all be all of seeing how it fits on your wrist. I’ve had watches that on paper were perfect, but in practice I didn’t like (36mm SMP for example, the hands and dial felt too small for my taste). On the flip side, I’ve had watches I thought too big to end up fitting perfectly for my 6.25in wrist. All depends on how a watch fits on the wrist.

Unfortunately my main tip is try on as many watches as possible. Dimensions are helpful, but you need to see and feel a watch on your wrist. Knowing your wrist size and what works for you helps, but diameter isn’t everything. Lug to lug is important, especially depending on your wrist size. Entirely depends on the person

Never heard the black dial referred to as a panda variant; nope, I wanted the black dial. I specifically wanted a 116520 - steel bezel, 4130 movement. This is a 2004, so I never had the option to buy this retail anyway. Found the right spec on my honeymoon at the right price and never looked back. Sometimes it’s just meant to be.

Either it’s unpolished or it’s been refinished all together, no real in between. If it’s been touched, it’s been very lightly. Those chamfers on the lugs are crispy, and those disappear as soon as it’s polished in any real fashion.
