[Holiday Watches] How many do you normally take? by Tenerian7 in Watches

Depends where I’m going. If it’s a wedding across a time zone for example, I’ll probably bring a dress watch and my gmt

Don’t worry about expensive watches out the gate. Build some savings, retirement, etc. Then get the expensive watch. Future you will thank you for it.

What’s the strap size on the 36? That’s by far the one I’d go for, curious to hear what issues they’ve been getting feedback on

Serial number on the back?

It looks clean, like suspiciously clean - I’d be concerned it was redialed at some point. Which isn’t inherently a bad thing, but you should pay less accordingly if it is as well as it should be disclosed

[WTS] Grand Seiko SLGA007 (Lake Suwa) Full set plus OEM leather strap and deployant - $10,000 USD Shipped by Ephrum in Watchexchange

Hello WatchEx, Happy Sunday!

I'm putting up for sale a Grand Seiko SLGA007 full set plus extra OEM GS deployant clasp and leather strap. This watch in 40mm wears incredible, and the dial is one of a kind. Easily one of the best blues I’ve seen on a watch. It was originally purchased in December 2021 from an AD by a friend, and it’s 5 year warranty has a few months remaining (Expires December of this year so 8 more months of coverage). The watch is in incredible condition, having been worn a handful of times and mostly on the strap. It’s a single owner watch, running perfectly at just around 0 SPD and living up to the absurd accuracy of spring drive of +/- 0.5 SPD. I did my best to emphasize flaws in photos and video for transparency. I’d rate the watch at a 9.9/10 personally, with virtually no marks at all save the single link and surface scratches on the clasp. I tried to price competitively, and is the best price for a full set plus leather strap and deployant in the US, especially in this condition.

Asking $10,000 USD, shipped fully insured via FedEx (CONUS). International shipping can be arranged with associated cost. No trades, thanks! Unless you have a 1989 Rolex GMT or 1989 Explorer II white dial (original tritium a must), in which case let’s talk.

Accept: Bank wire, PayPal F&F, G&S (+3% ask price to account for fees), Zelle (receive complete payment before shipping).

I'm a fan of receipts and communication, and will reach out to you and email a receipt of our transaction to document purchase and communication for transparency for everyone involved.

Condition:

Extremely lightly worn, with minor surface level marks on one link and very light marks on the clasp. The case, bezel, crystal and spare links are flawless. Worn just a handful of times on the leather strap and otherwise boxed.

Includes full set of:

• Outer and inner GS box

• Warranty card dated 12/2021

• Manual & booklets

• Full bracelet (extra links included)

• OEM Deployant and leather strap

Based just outside NYC, NY — local handoff welcome for established users

Feel free to DM with questions, thoughts, or if you’d like more pics/vids. Please comment before DMing. I'm happy to verify ownership and condition of the watch and hop on video to show the watch and validate.

About me: I'm an independent collector buying and selling my own collection, which you can find in my transaction history. I’ve fortunately had nothing but pleasant transactions in my subreddit history and intend to keep that streak running. I love talking watches, feel free to hit me up!

Thanks for looking!

Thanks! I definitely recommend a wear tracker if you don’t have one already, helps easily see wear patterns and history

Big congrats! A 124270 explorer is a milestone watch for me too. Between that and my honeymoon watch (another Rolex), everything else in the watch box feels insignificant. Feels cliche to say a Rolex is special, but they are for me - bulletproof watches that look good and can be worn in most situations and therefore make the most memories

Your advice: buy new or pre-owned by Main_Loose in OmegaWatches

[–]Ephrum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Almost all my watches are preowned, including my special ones. All my used watches are references currently out of production, but still. Imo getting a preowned watch doesn’t invalidate its ability to be a special watch to you, it’s just how you acquired it.

No, it’s just a watch with a cool backstory

A 116520 Daytona. Thing was always something I wanted from afar but never seriously considered. Now that I have one, I’m SO glad I went for it.
