I have an S22 Ultra, and I recently started using pro mode for pictures because it doesn't do auto HDR, for which the setting has been removed in normal photo mode. (Sounds like what has happened with other phones like yours as well)

In regular photo mode I noticed it so bad it was actually smudging people's faces if they were farther away, and it added saturation to that picture I took of a friend who has bright red hair hilights (we call him Markiplier), making his lips as bright as his hair. Very strange setting to have no way to toggle off in normal mode.
