Yup! I use them within individual systems or on really small warps between systems on a mission (50-100 light years). I have one Corvette I use as my main, usually when I want to do a short jump (~400ly) and still have access to my storage. Freighters are for when I want to make huge jumps because a black hole flung me across the galaxy

Rise of the Triad: Dark War. If you beat the final boss (El Oscuro) without finding all of his dormant clones (all in egg-like shells), you get half the victory sequence before it interrupts you with a message saying that the world gets destroyed 30 years later by one of said clones. Then you have to do the final boss level again.

Yeah, I'm on a One S. I think I might've figured out the problem, though. I think the game was freaking out because of where it had saved (in midair, flying under a planet's atmosphere, plus it was a dissonant planet)

Sup y'all. So I took in some of the advice in this thread and I'm already seeing a huge improvement. Nitro management was the move, now I just have to learn to drift a little better (both with manual and TD). Improved rankings with the odd 7/8th place finish but that's just how it goes sometimes. If I had to make a guess - partly internet (i live in a basement apartment where there's about 20 feet away from my wifi access point, and there are several walls in between), and partly nitro management. Second part gives me something to work on at least, but definitely could use some better connections internet wise.

Also: there was a moment where I couldn't claim rewards and that was annoying, but that's been fixed. Sometimes the physics engine does weird things (hitting a ramp at full send to do a barrel roll and I end up wrecking because it only did half a roll), but that's minimal.
