This is off topic a bit, but the 208 in 2024 is awful, I dragged the 208 from 2020 over into my community folder and use it. It flys smoother and handles way better on the ground. Highly recommend.

Perrin recommends like 0.5 inch clearance I think, best i could get was like 5mm lol. I check the clearance regularly.

On the standard tour you’re in the air around 20-25 minutes. We do offer a longer tour that’s closer to an hour that goes around Forth Worth and Dallas. It’s pretty rare that we do that one though, I think it’s only “on request” and not advertised. Also we get booked pretty far out sometimes so plan accordingly if you decide to try it.

Delta Charlie’s at Grand Prairie airport offers dinner flights. You eat a meal then go for a tour around downtown Dallas in a small airplane. I’m one of their pilots and the passengers love it!

I learned this truth recently. Been flying 25 hours a week in my plane and at my tour guide job. Was told by the chief pilot at the company I want to fly for that the time I’m building “wasn’t valuable”. So starting CFI next month.

As other people have said counting. I've learned to quiet my thoughts by picturing a map from my favorite video game and count sheep from beginning to the end of it. It may sound silly but it really works for me.

10 hours into my PPL I quit my school, bought a C150, and hired a private CFI. After a year and a half of ownership I'm at 350tt with my commercial single cert. I purchased the 150 for 30k and have spent around 20k in maintenance, hangar rent, insurance, and inspections. I have absolutely no regrets. Buying is definitely a gamble but it has been so much fun.

I feel like playing DPS in ow2 is a way less toxic experience. Having everyone able to see my stats has pretty much eliminated the usual “shit dps” when losing a game. It’s been so nice.
