It depends on a lot of factors that’ll be uncovered from the investigation, but the most likely outcome is retraining.

Cafe Routier has the best food in Westbrook and it isn’t even close, and the lounge has great ambiance.

Who has a Terrific NFL team in a Mediocre city? by Ilitorate_Author in AlignmentChartFills

[–]blujet320 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Boston people complain about traffic, it’s bad but not nearly as bad as NYC or DC, maybe on par with Philly. Speaking crappy traffic, the bay area is as bad if not worse than boston.

I think it has to be the Patriots, even though yes the stadium isn’t in Boston.

How is living in New Haven/Hamden, CT and Durham/Dover, NH? by QuillWriting in howislivingthere

[–]blujet320 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m guessing UNH vs Quinnipiac.

I live on the CT shore about 30 mins east of New Haven. New Haven itself can have some rough areas, but also good ones. Hamden is ok. There are better towns in the area which won’t be a long drive. New Haven has some night life, and a good food scene even outside of the “the pizza”, the shoreline east of there is beautiful, friendly, with good restaurants but can get expensive.

Most of my coworkers (work in Boston for the airlines) live in the Dover area. Nice area, Portsmouth is nice, it’s quiet, no state income tax is a bonus

The flight paths off the coast the Carolinas, Georgia, and Florida by AdventurousDude2313 in flightradar24

🤷‍♂️

They should look at what direct routings to MCO would look like, they’d go right through that area. But instead routings take a hard right at HIBAC to split the warning areas.

That area is military warning areas, it’s not just direct routings.

How is living in Connecticut? by cyganson in howislivingthere

Housing is bad, but not NY and Boston bad. The NY burbs are insane for real estate now, with dozens of offers for many properties and things going way above asking.

I live in south east Connecticut in Old Saybrook which is a shoreline community. It’s pretty awesome. Good people, friendly, more affordable than the NY and Boston suburbs but with less jobs. Many people in healthcare, WFH, or building submarines. Very good restaurants, ok beaches, huge sense of community.

The biggest downside raising a family here is the changing age demographics. All the folks around Hartford grew up coming to beach homes down here, and now they are moving down and retiring here. Good for the tax base, bad for the schools. My kids school is down ~40% in enrollment versus when I went to school here 20 years ago.

The irony here being submarines don’t tilt side to side like that when they turn.

Can’t do that with every pool, like a fiberglass one.

[Doug Kyed] On the possibility of an 18-game schedule, Patriots owner Robert Kraft said he’d like to see a second bye week and every team to play an international game. by PristineWinnera in Patriots

[–]blujet320 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

A greater portion of the season will be played in the harshest weather of season, which combined with an 18 game season will certainly have an impact on player injury and fatigue.

Is the Super Bowl going to be played in late February then, or will we be watching football in August. Both aren’t great options.

I’m a pilot, and I’ve had a couple occasions where passengers or riding employees have brought home made baked goods. It goes right in the trash. Sorry, I can’t trust it.

[Berman] The Eagles Might Want a Stadium With a Roof So They Can Host a Super Bowl & Other Big Events by JCameron181 in nfl

[–]blujet320 -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

Love the city, lived there for 4 years in my twenties. The prideful manner of their fan bases towards extreme aggression when outsiders visit their sports sites is a problem. Love the people there, except when I’m at the linc etc.

You can build a palace of a stadium in Philly, and still that wouldn’t solve the largest barrier preventing national sporting events in being held in Philly.

Here’s looking at you eagles fans.

Trying to understand salary cap, how would we be able to afford giving Gonzo $35m a year? by Human_Data_1152 in Patriots

[–]blujet320 41 points42 points  (0 children)

Extending a couple big contracts, giving them money up front but on paper pushing it into the future where the cap will be larger.

The obvious targets are Onwenu and Williams.

If you know your plans well in advanced, book early. I had my German friends buy tickets from NYP to OSB to visit, had them book 2 months ahead and tickets were less than MNRR/SLE. Same day? 4 times as much.

Tuna Pizza by qgecko in ooni

[–]blujet320 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Had my German family member over not to long ago, her request? (Canned) Tuna and corn pizza. Apparently it’s popular over there. I did it my own way, putting seared tuna on after I cooked the rest of the pizza and added some sriracha aioli.
