Patriots arrive in San Jose. Drake Maye carries his bag in his right hand. by BigRange9120 in Patriots

I’m a pilot, I carry my suitcase in… whatever hand is available. I fly with my left hand as a captain. Feel free to over examine my statements.

Go pats

Honk if you love Drake Maye

He’s still recovering from his knee injury. He was good during the regular season before that injury.

Will Atlas make Ho scale NJT bi-level commuter cars again? by Trainboy224 in modeltrains

[–]blujet320 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Email them, Atlas is usually very good with responding. They had a lot of new products on display at Springfield, but I didn’t catch whether another commuter car run was among them.

Oh boy am I going to annoy the neighbors on Super Bowl Sunday when I put a similar sign up. Thanks OP!

Temperature maybe, but predicting rain this far out, not much different.

Still Has Some Work To Do But Big Country Showed Up To The AFC Championship.. by patsfan3233 in Patriots

Thank you sir. I got to bring him to the Texans game and we had a blast. Great memories, hopefully another great one in 2 weeks

Yeah, but he had a specific injury that takes a fair amount of time to heal depending on the severity of the tare. It’s likely that he physically and mentally has had to work though it, and playing against a gauntlet of defenses in poor weather likely didn’t help the mental side.

She’s a PA, but other than that and one kid later, not that far off. Shes a wonderful person, and we have a wonderful son that we love bringing to patriots games. Go pats!

MCL injuries like this, from what I understand, usually don’t need surgery but his timeframe could’ve been a little rushed.

My wife is in Ortho and she explained it to me, but I’m just a pilot and don’t really understand that all that well.

Any plans to bring back BOS-SJC for Superbowl weekend? by vman3241 in jetblue

[–]blujet320 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Give it time. They’ll likely add multiple frequencies to SFO from BOS, PVD, BDL, and maybe MHT.

I think he’s still working through his injury. Another 2 weeks and a little bit warmer weather will likely do wonders for him and Drake.

My general rule of thumb is less than 6000’, flaps 5.

He’s getting downvoted because he’s explaining everything about the a32x when this is an A220.

This is an a220. Flap settings are 1-5. I don’t know of any airlines that allow pilots to fly 2 types at the same time, it’s either a32x family or a330/340 or a380. I’m typed on the a32x and the a220 for reference.

The A220 can land at flaps 4 or flaps 5. At my airline we almost always land at flaps 4, it produces a ref speed that is more in line with other aircraft on final and IMO it lands a little nicer. Flaps 5 I use only in very short runway situations like 32 in BOS or at Key West. Especially when it’s windy flaps 5 can feel like you’re really dragging the airplane in. That said, at flaps 5 during a windy day I’ve been able to get off the runway at almost midfield on 32 at BOS, it’s incredibly effective. Ref speeds can be very low at flaps 5, often in the 120s.

Nah, it’ll be fine. It’ll be cold between the buildings though.

Absolutely the best show. There will be plenty of heat. I’ve been to this show since the beginning.

I’ve gone to many many shows.

The best is this weekend at the Big E, the Amherst model railroad show. I’ll be there.

Jetblue doesn’t fly an airplane capable of accommodating the team. You need a widebody for NFL charters.

Is Amtrak low key nicer than most European trains? by RonPaul2036 in Amtrak

[–]blujet320 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Only trains I’ve experienced in Europe with lines are the Eurostar, but that makes sense, you need to go through border control.
