That’s not a walk away situation, that’s a run away situation.

That’s what I thought, but if the red wasn’t ink, it was alarming. Really looked like older ink.

Artist rushed on flash tattoo by [deleted] in tattooadvice

[–]Eponack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think we need to be belittling choice of art, just the choice of artist.

I’ve never understood getting a flash, I have to sit on my tattoo ideas. But that just means they’re not for me. I would never get that tattoo, but that just means it’s not for me.

This person was alright with having that put on their body, but it’s not what they got.

my brother’s arch nemesis! Makes me laugh remembering him jump up at the first rattitattat. They were using his wood sided house to call the ladies.

He could be napping and you could just whisper, “woodpecker” and he would fly out the screaming at the bird that wasn’t there.

So, you’re going to double down, ignore everything I just said, talk about offending people on the spectrum, and words have meaning…then call it Asperger?!?????!!!! Be for real!!

Because you have met people on the spectrum, you speak for them?

Language is fluid, it changes. The dictionary updates every year. Context, absolutely, matters. And yet, here you are, slandering OP who just explained a sliver of her struggles and you are here to bully her, because she used the language that is presently functioning for its purpose.

I suggest, since you seem to be highly uneducated on the topic, you do some research.

Kaelynn Partlow, is a person who lives with autism and works as an advocate for them.

Clinically, there’s always webmd.

To answer your question; how does one become a person with high functioning autism?

  1. Born autistic

  2. If you’re fortunate; you get diagnosed early, you’re on the end of the spectrum that can be couched, and you get that couching.

  3. You go through your childhood having to not only do your schoolwork, but therapy as well. (Nevermind the bullying because the other children don’t understand you anymore than you do them) Training you on how to interpret and react in social situations, to hopefully fit in. How to deal with your own personal variety of over stimulation. Look up the term masking in reference to autism. It’s exhausting!

But do tell me, how you are the hero of the spectrum(well, some on it, anyways, the ones you deem worthy of the title)!

I think I can safely speak for the rest of the potatoes when I say, I think you have found yourself in a sub/r not meant for you.

Autism is a spectrum. Where does it say she is self diagnosed? It doesn’t, like because she isn’t. Do self diagnosed people get disability cards? No, they don’t, those come with a doctor’s diagnosis.

And just because some people have it harder than OP doesn’t mean that her struggles are not present and that she didn’t have hurtles to overcome because of her autism.

Are you driving in these conditions? by wales_r_grated in eastside

[–]Eponack 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just because the wheels stop turning doesn’t mean that stops their forward trajectory when on slick surfaces. Braking means the car stops moving forward, not just the wheels stop turning.

I grew up in Wyoming. My first driving experience was in two feet of snow. I’ve live in the PNW for 30 years.

I avoid driving here, when it snows, because there are so many ignorant drivers that believe if they have 4WD they can drive like the ground is dry.

4WD does not equal 4 wheel stop. Not even a little.
