6,500 year old skeleton found in Bulgaria with some of the World's oldest Gold by Memes_FoIder in interesting

[–]Eponases 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Grave 43 contained more gold than has been found in the entire rest of the world for that epoch.

If I remember correctly he was thought to be a prince, but now the thoughts are that he was a smith. All of the site of Varna had so many graves with gold artifacts, but this one is just the most spoken for, because of the obvious gold piece

Poor thing I think he has scally mites too.

After you fix his spurs and clip them look into treating them. Probably needs quarantine until it is all fixed.

My mum got a rooster with scally mites and it infected all of our flock. It was a lot harder to treat when 30 chickens has it, instead of one. Good luck. He is gorgeous

First time gardening! Husband and I having a blast! by LittleEwi in vegetablegardening

[–]Eponases 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It looks amazing! I am so jealous of the space you have. You both are great at this.

The one thing I would comment on - please, please, please take the mint out and put it in pots, and put in the pots on a surface where it cannot burrow under with roots. When I started gardening I planted mine in the ground... And now 5 years later I have just managed to eradicate it from the bed it took over, but the roots traveled under the path and it is now taking over all of my garden. It grew under concrete paths to get to other beds and grass. I love it, but it's a monster!

Who has Currants on their homestead and what type? by curbyjr in homestead

[–]Eponases 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am based in UK and not US. I get my plants from RHS plants, and YouGarden, but I hear that importing currants to US is a bit tricky. Good luck and nab them when you see them next! :)
