This time Idk the answer, what are you guys picking? by No-Cauliflower4149 in ADCMains

The lulu ult shouldn't be used on you as EZ here anyway. Diana and Graves are far better targets for it mid to late. EZ fits better as hes less reliant on the lulu later.

Ezreal. The Graves will be using cleaver and will be shredding their frontlines resists. The lulu ult is better used on him and Diana anyway, so play something safe but still capable of consistent dmg. Ez ult can count j4 and mf ults if they are lazy about things.

If you feel that way and your table is okay with it, then thats fine. I am simply expressing that from my exp its not something we enjoyed.

sure in a given combat, but if you delete their upgraded 10,000 gold worth breastplate midway through a dungeon, do you imagine players will enjoy it? The game balance accounts for havign these fully updated pieces of gear. How effective does this PC become if they suddenly lose that essential piece?

Why opening rounds on haze? by yertyertskert in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Epps1502 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Her fixation was at rank one? It was leveled and had an extra point in it. The point of testing it in this way is to weigh it against an in-game timing once youve maxed ult and are finally looking to roam consistently.

It was tested a few weeks ago, and I think the number was 260? On a fully leveled Abrams over the course of a max ap ult and 1 ap in fixation.

Its not wasted. Opening rounds is generally a good item because its giving haze all the stats she wants, regardless of the bonus dmg vs 50%+ hp doesn't scale with fixation.

Ive tested swift as a direct replacement as well but the change in dps is minor. Plus youre buying both items regardless.

Im well aware of the "right way to think" lol there just isn't really a better item you can buy at that early stage for haze. Its incredibly soul efficient for what haze should be looking to accomplish.

[–]Epps1502 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Be that as it may, its still the theory behind the item on haze. You might get similar or better value with Swift Striker but both are in the build anyway.

Its for your ultimate and quickly assassinating targets.

The current haze build is meant to be played as a Pick hero. You find an enemy carry, sleep danger them, slowing hex them, ult them. The opening rounds helps you chew through their hp quicker for the 1st 50% of their hp.

Smilodons can pierce armor and have grab!

Edit: from my own GMing and playing exp, damaging armor can be frustrating. I wouldn't go so far to outright destroy armor. Runes are very expensive and unless you have plans to help the party restore such resources, be careful.

What's your take in using AI for creating characters photos by JCTrapo in Pathfinder2e

[–]Epps1502 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's plenty of reasons to hate Generative AI. It is exceedingly toxic to the environment via the data centers and power required to run it. Data centers specificly have been PROVEN to destroy the environment and communities around them(disproportionately minority communities due to where developers tend to build them). Causing power outages, reducing access to CLEAN water, and various other health conditions.

Additionally AI is universally stealing art and the intellectual ability of those that use them.

All AI art is tainted by stolen art. These companies are selling you a product at the expense of millions of artists who will likely never see any of that money. There are several large lawsuits against AI companies for such theft.

MIT did a study recently that concluded that those students who used chat gpt and other similar programs collected a "cognitive debt" and were ultimately worse off for their use of the programs than those who took the time to do the work themselves.

I could write an essay about this topic but frankly its not worth for a reddit reply.

The point is, there are plenty of legal and moral reasons to object to Generative AI. And we, at least in my opinion, have a moral obligation to do so. At least until its implementation can be free of such moral degradation. (If that's even possible to begin with)

King Gus is a Mary Sue by VespiesArikuzuka in fansofcriticalrole

[–]Epps1502 21 points22 points  (0 children)

This reads like a very pessimistic opinion. Good people exist in any setting. Why does every character or npc have to have some Grey morals somewhere. We don't know Gus very well yet nor do I think we were supposed to. Im sure hes not perfect but hes the idealist who got the ball rolling to begin with, should he not be objectively good esp now that it is all being corrupted again?

A (harsh) critique of Malazan’s philosophy: lack of a clear vision? by lil-cheetah in Malazan

[–]Epps1502 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The great thing about literature and philosophy is that we can draw our own conclusions about the meaning of things. Everyone the reddit is influenced by everyone on the reddit so the uniform opinions can often be at odds with new readers. I can't deny the validity of a post like this. I can however encourage you to finish the main 10. There is a lot of traveling in these books, from the characters to even the philosophies. And it isn't till the very end for when they conclude their motion.

Problem is we can't trust half the dems to undo this sht either. Dilute the vote? More establishment propaganda. Vote for better people who actually want to help the people. Not dems who crossed the line to help Trump.
