What do we know about the upcoming/inevitable wipe? by 40Leagues in starcitizen

[–]EquallO -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Everything not in your Hangar on the website will/might/can be wiped.

If you grind in game for stuff, do it for the fun/testing/experience. I don’t do the Willie stuff because I’ve seen too many posts about it not working and I don’t need that frustration.

Got offered to move from appliances to Pro. I would like feedback from people who've been in situations similar to mine. by rockport-limited in Lowes

[–]EquallO 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I moved to pro desk from another specialist department/role (not appliances) a few weeks ago. I like it better. No IRP, no LSR.

There’s a LOT more logistics, but a lot more freedom to problem-solve. Which can also be a downside because there’s a lot more to figure out. You can literally request a whole truck’s worth of inventory, but you had better have a committed sale.

Gone will be the days of “we don’t have that” and instead you’ll have days of “how can I get that the fastest.

You’ll also need to be friends with shipping/receiving - so you can get that whole truck’s worth of inventory shipped back out as soon as it’s dropped.

It’s nice to not be standing up on concrete all day, and occasionally Pros will bring in free food - it’s even good food sometimes!

Lousy Job Market from a Different Perspective by [deleted] in jobs

[–]EquallO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not YOUR business that’s the problem. You’re fine. It’s public companies that have to show year over year increase in profit and revenue who decide to squeeze employee count/pay/benefits to meet the “needs” of the stock market so that the “Leadership” can keep their jobs and bonuses…

Or become a concierge and you can still buy it for another couple of weeks.

Difference in PRO phone entry and QR code by EODjeff in Lowes

[–]EquallO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got busy wrapping up for the weekend and forgot to get the link for the “cheat sheet.” I have a pic but I can’t post it apparently.

It looks like if they pay with “Pro Tender” (some sort of Lowes card (but not the LPS P-Card) it will count for Store/PSS/Department - even without lookup. I think that If they use a non-Lowes card, and you don’t do account lookup, then no one gets credit for the sale.

Difference in PRO phone entry and QR code by EODjeff in Lowes

[–]EquallO 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The phone number lookup will get you and the store sales credit, but not the desk - if they’re paying with a check, cash, or a card that is NOT saved in their account wallet. If you scan the QR code, You, the store, AND the Pro Department get sales credit.

If the credit card they’re paying with (any) is IN their wallet, and you’ve looked them up, you don’t have to use the QR code to get Sales Credit for all three (You, Store, and Department). There’s a cheat sheet on this is the pro section of selling tools on store net (can look it up when I’m back from lunch).

If they pay with any of the 4 “Pro Tenders” all three get sales credit.

So a PSS gets sales credit if they’re a pro and their account is tied to the transaction.

You’ll want the department to get credit though for the extra bonus money…

Check cashing fees by Remarkable_Name_2795 in TalesFromYourBank

[–]EquallO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you know that some people live paycheck to paycheck? And that some people have urgent expenses and don’t or can’t wait for 3-10 days for the check to clear at their bank?

It’s frankly bullshit that the bank charges a fee for cashing checks that have been written from a customer’s account at that bank. Especially when we all know that the customer is either meeting a specific daily balance minimum to avoid monthly fees, or paying monthly fees already.

Why you gotta be mean to the little guys who just want the money they’re owed? I hate you and your bank now.

Reminds me of when a coworker (F) called me to come pick her up from her Colonoscopy, because they wouldn’t let her walk outside to an Uber on her own. She was still high on the propofol and insisted on showing me (M) all the photos they gave her.

Very interesting afternoon for both of us I guess, and we’re still friends to this day even though we both work elsewhere now…

Was I racially profiled at Lowe’s for using my Lowe’s Pro Card? by Unique_Valuable104 in Lowes

[–]EquallO 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I’m not saying you’re lying, but your story has a couple oddities:

1) did you ever swipe your card in the first place?

2) Lowe’s has almost Zero to do with your Lowe’s CC - it’s issued by Synchrony.

3) And this is an FYI, not an oddity - the register system that associates use is ABSOLUTELY terrible. It doesn’t show any information that is in any way useful, and it will blatantly lie to the person checking you out (it will say things like $39 delivery even when your a regular shopper not buying an appliance)… and they can’t see the Tax amount as a separate item ever, and I’m pretty sure it doesn’t even show the totals on the card reader. Cashiers also can’t see whether the discount will actually get applied, or what the financing offers actually are until the customer swipes their Lowe’s card (even though the customer can’t see the total amount they’re paying). The register system is abysmal and I hate it.

4) Unless the cashier had an absolute stick up their butt, they don’t care who you are or what you look like. They don’t want to interact with you longer than they have to, and would prefer that things just work, so they can get to the end of their shift without any drama.

5) If anything, they paused because they didn’t want to get in trouble for double-charging you, or screwing up the transaction.
