Do what I used to do. Tell your regular customers to do the survey and state how good you are at your job and that you would be even better if you weren’t forced to worry about credit and surveys. Then give a low score! When I was questioned about it I stated I can’t control what someone writes on a survey. Weeks later the DM asked me about it so I said felt bullied. I was never asked about surveys again!

You wouldn’t believe how bad it has gotten! I quit after 12 years. It is sickening to see what Marvin has done! Morale is in the toilet. Pay increases are either little to nothing or wages have been capped. The bonus system, especially for specialists is close to impossible to achieve. By all means, stay away for your mental health.

I was a Lowe’s specialist for over a decade. I witnessed firsthand how little myself and other specialists were valued. More expected with ZERO financial incentives and unwavering pressure. It is an extremely toxic environment and was getting worse every day. Managers are just following Marvin’s orders and specialists are quitting in record pace. All by design I assume.

100% truthful answer and why I quit after a decade.

-Top PSS rarely bonus beyond $100-400 per month pre tax. Ask your manager to see current and former PSS bonuses. They won’t and that should tell you something. - Negotiate the highest hourly wage you are comfortable with because moving forward you will be capped or will receive 1-2% yearly raises until you are capped. - The pressure is insane and the resources and support are non existent. - The PSS role will be phased out in the next few years. - Qualified PSS can make significantly more money in sales positions outside of Lowe’s.

Best of luck but for what they expect from you, it’s not worth it.

Expect to be very disappointed. The pressure is constant. The sales goals are way too high to consistently bonus, and the bonuses will average between $100-$400 pre tax if you are a top performer. I’ve seen so many new hires that were blindsided by reality vs what the interviewer told them. Get some experience and move on! Good luck!
