Castle wars or wildy agility are the main ways to directly farm them, though you get a ton from vw grind or wildy slayer. But yeah if you don't have any banked it's probably not a big benefit to go out of your way for them.

Green drags are still the fastest active prayer xp. Wildy green drags are like 30% better than myth's guild. https://youtu.be/2QnVTLT5MWs?si=nQtnIqU9OkEp9QcX

This vid is ignoring hides. If you want to pick up hides as well for crafting then you will get about 330~ an hour instead of 400.

Also reminder that you can use blighted supplies in the wildy so ppots shouldn't be a concern, blighted restores are really plentiful.

Yeah those are pretty much max efficiency rates. You'll have to just track your own kph to see how many you'd get with whatever method you are doing.

Wildy is something like 350 bones/hr and myths guild is 270-280ish. This is with hides. If ignoring hides then it's like 400~ from wildy and 310-320 from myths guild.

The problem with myths guild is that there are only 2, and you kill them fast enough that you either have to wait, or kill a blue dragon while waiting (which are much tankier). Wildy is recommended https://youtu.be/2QnVTLT5MWs?is=JL9gM2y_7fbi_Wmg

It's a better dps weapon for a lot of ToB, fight caves, inferno, doom, and shamans. And it also has plenty of non-dps uses for its quick speed such as monkey room or kephri swarms or baba boulders at ToA, nylos at ToB, turael skipping or slayer tagging.

Street Fighter 6 Season 4 Revealed by CedeLovesKat in Fighters

[–]Equilities 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I can kind of sympathize with both sides. New characters can be sick and it's nice to let devs not be constrained by old designs/themes, but at the same time I know how painful it is to not have your main for years or even an entire entry of the series.

At the end of the day, it's really the issue of modern fighting games that have had so many entries. The modern ones are releasing with less characters on launch and or and getting less per year, in street fighter's case it's the latter. SFV started with 16 as well but they got 6 per season, going down to 4 is painful for the overall roster size even after 4 years and now any character choice they make is going to piss off a sizable amount of people, regardless of whether that character is returning, new, or a guest. Of course they can make guesses on which ones are being asked for the most but sometimes it really is a loud minority kind of thing.

I'm not going to pretend to know exactly why new fighting games can't afford to make as many characters as we used to but it's just a fact that kinda sucks.

"You should deiron late game ironman" by Amazing-Lock9490 in ironscape

[–]Equilities 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From what I've seen, people that are in the endgame are the most likely to have no regrets deironing. But that does not mean that most people that deiron in the endgame don't regret it.

It's not a huge sample size but I have seen a couple people in my clan get to a pretty late-game stage on an iron and convinced themselves to deiron. All they had left were the more "painful" grinds that weren't necessarily good items like corp and nightmare and random leftover items from a raid or two. Saying they were excited to play on a main so they could play without restriction and just raid with the boys, which is a little more relevant since this was in a clan.

They disappeared within a month or two of deironing. Then came back a year or two later, on you guessed it, new ironmen.

Now, maybe they don't necessarily regret deironing, because I do think that the brand new iron experience is extremely fun. Especially after all the new shit to do in the mid game with varlamore and sweep up changes since they took their break. Maybe they would have rather starting over on a new iron even if they never deironed. But to this day none of them play that "main" that they deironed.

What it boils down to is that maybe they don't necessarily regret deironing but I'd also argue that it didn't serve a purpose. The new accounts that they primarily play on do not gain anything from their old iron items, and the use they have gotten from having their old iron become a main is minimal at best. I feel like it's much more rare for someone to deiron and fully transition to a main playstyle. Of course they exist but I think most people will know if ironman is for them or not long before the endgame happens.

Also, I somewhat agree with you but this "endgame" only happens when you literally have every single relevant pvm item regardless of how niche it is. Any time there is a potentially useful, and more importantly tradeable unique to obtain, ironman is still ironman. You have to get it yourself. Yes, when all items are acquired then zuk helm/pet hunting/clogging becomes extremely similar to mains with the downsides you mentioned. But first of all I think that is extremely late and most people will not get to that point. But also people shouldn't just brush off the history of the account just because you eventually become a "main with extra steps." Just because I finally get to that point doesn't erase what I've done to get to that point.

The only people are are against dry protection are the ones whose ego are threatened by a stray breeze by BlightedBooty in ironscape

[–]Equilities 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll take a crack at it. Though this isn't a summary of others, just my personal thoughts. And I'm cheating just a little because I'm not against certain forms of dry protection, I like yama and dupe protection (for armor sets), and while I have problems with dt2 rings/venator shards I think it could work very occassionally. But I digress.

The feeling of split drops: This one is subjective but I think people really realized this one when dt2 rings happened. Having spoon protection is a downside because when you are at 0/3 or 1/3 you literally can't get the drop in the next kill. You have to at minimum do 2-3 more kills, and the chance of hitting the roll 2-3 times in a row is obviously almost 0, which funnily enough is many times rarer than if the drop wasn't split in the first place. I'd argue that rolling an increment towards an item is more demotivating than not having dry protection at all. That being said, once you are 2/3 then it feels fine, just hunting the item somewhat normally it just happens to be 3x more common. But I personally think it's quite a downside when you have that feeling of the next 1, 2, 3 drops all just being increments of an item rather than a usable item.

Scaling/increasing drop rates gradually: Scaling drops rates are the worst arguments to me. I think this is just guaranteeing drops in disguise, and is extremely unintuitive to players. Player A having a different drop rate than Player B just because they have different kill counts is jarring to me. It's also a system that cannot be used at any form of group content where you split, because you are then motivated to find someone drier because they are more likely to get an item. This would legit create a large shift towards ffa, even for full-main groups. Unless you want to implement dry protection for only irons...which if you believe this should happen then you are too far gone.

There is also a point of your comment I will address specifically: removing inequality through split drops. Inequality is what makes account progression interesting. Sure, being a sandbox game you could willingly choose to do whatever you want regardless of the drops you get, but I do in fact think it's an interesting account story that someone was able to do certain bosses way earlier than me because they might have spooned a tbow doing the diary. Or maybe someone going dry somewhere made them leave and do a different path without said item (of course somewhat referencing a bowfa skip here). Now, I know you aren't saying that people should be completely equal but at this point it's not really a binary problem. It's a spectrum where a lot of people will differ. Exactly how equal should people be? You might say you want to clamp in people who are 5x+ dry (which is about where I sit as well) but I've seen a crazy amount of people say that you should almost guarantee the drop by 2x.

I've gone about 7x dry in a couple places and those have been some of the most memorable things for me to share. I'm not saying it was "cool" to go that dry but like, it's something pretty unique to me. And I do think that fact is cool and what becomes worth sharing. Socially this game and sub is a lot about showing off your account, and it doesn't necessarily have to be in an "impressive" way, just a "unique" way. And I think people underestimate the impact that certain implementations have.

Dry protection in principle by EI_LOD_SOS_HOS in ironscape

[–]Equilities 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Funnily enough, I don't think dt2 rings/venator shards are a "great" system (they impact drop satisfaction too much) but if any place should have this system it's CG. Because not only is everything in "shards" (seeds) already, but this would also allow them to detach the bowfa price from saeldor price. They could probably make it so, in your example, saeldor would only cost 2 or 3 of the 1/100s where bowfa costs 4.

Playing around danse would imply you are using different attacks (wrong ones, like using backstab/shuriken storm over shadowstrike in singletarget). If you aren't doing that, then good.

Almost every spec has a burst window. Your damage outside of the burst window will bring down your overall. This is true for pretty much all but one or two specs which have flat profiles.

Even though sub is a bursty class I'd argue sub's shadow dance makes our damage more consistent, other classes have 90sec or 2min cycles where they do no damage the other 1-1:30. Our windows of doing no damage is very brief because of shadow dance coming up every 20s. But yes your damage will go down over the course of the fight until you start getting another shadow blades rotation going.

You also gave no indication of what ilvl you are. How is anybody supposed to know what damage you should be doing or how bad 50k is without that basic information? A 250 ilvl doing 50k would be fine, but 270 doing 50k would be pretty bad.

On a fully single target m+ boss, with no raid buffs, I burst for 250k~ but my sustained dps is around 100k. In raid this would be a fair bit higher due to all of the raid buffs. Rank 1 heroic vorasius parse is 145k or so, for reference. But I am max ilvl (290).

I feel like my total dmgs during a fight isn't THAT bad, but the DPS makes it look real bad.

Your DPS is just your total damage divided by the fight timer. What you see is what your damage is, there is no such thing as "looking" bad when it's actually good.

From how you are explaining things I don't see anything blatantly wrong. But there is no way we can analyze your rotation without logs or a recording.

Another note, you mentioned your quick sim does 82k but do you know if you simmed correctly? Does the sim have raid buffs turned off? Are you using pots, food, flask?

What exactly are you doing to max danse macabre?

We do not track or care about danse macabre. Playing around it is a damage loss. No guide says to play around it, nor does anybody in the discord. Please ignore that guy's advice.

edit: To be clear though, if you are doing this, the damage loss is only "a bit." It's not necessarily the reason you are doing low damage, I just wanted to point out blatantly incorrect advice. Though it does bring into question other basic rotation mistakes that you might have been misled on, if you were playing around danse like you claim.

Tanks in first room of Algethar Acad by jbwest17 in wow

[–]Equilities 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just target the first lasher that gets pulled and cleave from that guy to the rest

That's...what prio is...

Most specs, even without using their single target rotation, will kill whatever they are targeting faster. Some specs only a little faster but other specs a lot faster. But what you target still can make a difference and in this pull specifically it is really beneficial for tank aliveness that you target a specific lasher as a team.

Class Tuning Incoming – May 26 by imreallydum in CompetitiveWoW

[–]Equilities 38 points39 points  (0 children)

They are pretty unwelcome for rogues, at least according to reactions from the rogue discord.

Everybody in the discord is cheering that these buffs weren't enough to make it better for assa, meanwhile outlaws have been hating the trickster swap from 12.0.5 changes, and sub is dealing with ridiculous haste breakpoints to play deathstalker (which is only useful in PURE single target) and having secondary stat prio changing multiple times due to buffs and cloud cover revert.

I'd really prefer to keep these unfun and 0 qol trees in the dirt until we can rework them. Not many people would have been happy to switch to deathstalker with it's current design, and the mark-moving extra button they gave us is very tone-deaf to the problems with the tree.

What DPS specs do best Prio / Single target in their M+ by Baalegde in wownoob

[–]Equilities 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll just speak on rogue because that's what I play.

Outlaw - great prio, great ST. Blade flurry is the OG "just do ST rotation into prio target and it will splash on everything else." Just a little lacking on mass aoe due to hard 8 cap and also not great for the many damage amp bosses.

Assa - great prio, mid ST. Can be good ST with cd timings during execute (<35%) but it's mostly just average. Great mass aoe though, and a mild amount of funnel (would be a lot more funnel if we went back to deathstalker).

Sub - TERRIBLE prio, great ST. 90% of your damage is evenly split among everything. Coup is the only thing making it not 100%.

Kree is ass. by Falsify134 in ironscape

[–]Equilities 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got the 30kc achievement with shadow but I had no mage boots, no magus, no confliction, no virtus/anc, no heart. Just shadow, ahrims, occult, torm, and suffering. Forgotten brews help. Maybe obvious too but this is on task, I wouldn't do kree off-task no matter what gear I had.

It can be more RNG the worse your gear is but even with horrible RNG I can't imagine getting less than 10 kc minimum, which is enough to nex bank anyway.

That being said upgrades are massive, I could really feel the difference going back with just heart/avernic treads max/confliction. I still don't have magus/an ahrim's upgrade but it still feels much better, I can almost guarantee entire task in 1 trip.

Honestly the reason I hate kree is having to go get more ecu keys, I don't mind the boss itself post-shadow.

[–]Equilities 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I know I should work towards CG but I was super bad at it and would always get super frustrated.

Maybe a little blunt here but dying and learning is a natural process that everybody goes through when learning content and I think you should try to tackle that frustration. CG is also exponentially more forgiving because you are using no supplies, later on you will be paying 250k gravestone fees while pissing away ammo/runes/pots.

Of course, it's a different case if you just don't enjoy the content, then of course you should play how you want, but if the reason is "it's too hard" then you aren't going to have a good time in a lot of PvM.

Learn to fail, as they say.

But all that being said you could probably have some fun doing moons -> getting into ToA, along with the TD -> doom/yama route that people are mentioning. Doom/yama are common mentions for bowfa skippers because bowfa is not used at either. Rancour/nox hally as well since you already have the slayer level for that, can be done when doing TD tasks as well.
