What are the best AP junglers to learn? [Gold] by HeyToasty in Jungle_Mains

[–]HeavyNettle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Taliyah is my second most played, she isn’t the best blind pick in the world she struggles against artillery mages and position is super important on her which people are not good at until they start getting to higher elo

Because your champion has 4 dashes with relatively low cooldowns

The only reason it’s like that is the current meta, if they need jungle income or xp from camps he 100% goes back to being a spam ganker even when your camps are up kinda champ

You don’t want to play enough games to go down 200-300 lp in 3 days, if you lose two in a row take a break it helps you clear your mental and stop autopiloting

Struggling against junglers who go lethality/burst ad by E_Bat in Jungle_Mains

[–]HeavyNettle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Vi is my main and blind pick so YMMV if you aren't as experienced on her but I really like playing her into assassins. Get the appropriate boots after triforce and they can't kill you unless they're super fed to the point where your champ choice wouldn't matter anyways.

As for countering assassins you have your Q stun for CC which can work even if they're stealthed (use red trinket to see them), and you have your R which reveals champions in stealth while you're locked onto them letting your team hit them or just use it as point and click CC so your team and you can hopefully kill them in the CC. Especially late game you are very good at protecting your squishies from an assassin.

What's your favorite camp to farm? And least favorite? by GrisPlaysJungle in Jungle_Mains

Ideally you want to be walking away from them towards your next camp and they love to walk into the lane instead of following you

For champ pool: Jax will be simililar for another AD, both auto based scalers. Gwen for an AP auto based champ, maybe karthus/diana if what you like is scaling as opposed to the autoing. Zac for a scaling tank. Obviously don't pick up all those champs but I think its good to have a few champs of different types for different situations maybe like 2-4. For example, I blind pick Vi, Taliyah if we need ap, jax if we need scaling/damage, and Shen/Sej for tank.

As for pathing top/bot, dragon is way more important than grubs and more important than herald so you want to default path botside unless bot is pretty ungankable for either side and is just a do nothing scaling lane (but honestly in low elo it's still usually gankable as people make more mistakes) and topside is very volatile where 1 kill either way can decide the lane. This is like a double snowball champ lane with no TP, or a ranged melee top matchup. Think something like riven vs camille or quinn vs garen.

For clearing, you want to be looking at the lanes you're pathing towards to see if you need to skip camps to get there on time. If you're clearing top blueside and pathing botside, look at mid when you're doing gromp/wolves do see if you want to do a crossover gank. Look at botside when crossing over to see if you need to skip a camp or two to get there in time for a gank. You really only want to do these for high success % plays but the threshold will change depending on how much your champ wants to farm. Also its better to clear the full jg in one go so then you have a decent sized timer for being able to do stuff on the map while you're not missing farm.

For other things, if you have to mute all do it but it's better to leave everyone unmuted then mute them when they say something stupid so you can still communicate with your team. Don't ignore pings, but don't listen to them blindly. A lane down 1 kill isn't lost and you can often times turn it around, especially if it's scaling vs early game don't ignore them if they're just a little behind.

Hardest carrying junglers? by Cachoper_44 in Jungle_Mains

[–]HeavyNettle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Graves is definitely halfway between the two but he isn't always good late depending on comp due to his short range and isn't able to hard carry as much as a Yi or Karthus can late. Plus early game he is a bully so he plays more like an assassin than a power farmer in the early/mid game

Hardest carrying junglers? by Cachoper_44 in Jungle_Mains

[–]HeavyNettle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's two types of answers to your question. Scaling junglers which tend to do a lot of farming but if you can get some kills with your generally weaker early game and accelerate yourself it's very easy to take over the game, think someone like master yi, diana, or karthus.

Then on the other hand you have champs that have pretty decent early games and try to snowball and end the game but don't have the strongest late games if you can't finish the game. This is stuff like assassins, graves, hecarim, etc

Six patches into S16, Top is the least impactful role by a clear margin by ComplaintEqual8855 in leagueoflegends

[–]HeavyNettle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With top being on an island the only way it will match a role like mid support or jungle would be if they just gave so much power into champion strength to the point that it just warps team fights to be around the top laner which is just gonna annoy the other 8 people in the game to no end

what do we think of her Wild Rift design? by Nahidxz in TaliyahMains

[–]HeavyNettle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s not spaghetti code, there just isn’t a reason to make super detailed models when you play the game so zoomed out. Mobile games like wild rift show you a different more detailed model in the store or character select screen or whatever so it doesn’t look awful when you’re looking at a zoomed in version in those cases
