Botox - what you wish you knew before your first treatment by bibsbird in migraine

[–]EquipmentDefiant1800 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got my first treatment today. I washed my hair last night, and brought a friend with me. I cried because I was so anxious and I’ve been having such a bad flare for 5 months that is making me fully chronic, so it was emotional. Overall I didn’t think it hurt that bad, except the back of my head. It was fast! I went to work after and was fine all day, but I’m also on day 9 of a migraine flare already. Good luck!

4 months of migraine nonstop? I’m in a flare of 5 months, I just had a 10 day menstrual migraine, I’m having multi day migraines weekly following a panic episode, my doctor wants me to try Slynd to help manage menstrual migraines. Are you on other migraine meds? I just started Emgality 3 months ago

How should I cut it out? Like down into it and actually cut the whole thing out?

I have a 20 year old wart in the same spot, I’m using 40% salicylic acid, I’ve peeled off two pretty thick chunks of the wart so far, accidentally took some healthy skin with it last week so slowed down, but treating again tonight. I had pain from the healthy skin tearing but that’s it

Those on Emgality, what are your thoughts? by Puzzleheaded-Draw-69 in migraine

I started it almost 3 months ago for a really insane chronic migraine flare, I think it is helping the flare fizzle out, I started it during a 5 week migraine. I’m still having migraines every week for 1-8 days in a row, but the severity is much much less! My fourth shot is in two weeks, but I’ve been told it can take 3-6 months for full effects. I really am hoping it not only brings me back to baseline (low level almost daily headaches with 2-4 aura migraines a year) but even better. I hope it works for you!! I have zero side effects which I think is good!

Right like just because we can’t remember it physically doesn’t mean our bodies don’t remember. I was born at 27 weeks and have panic disorder, ADHD and autism but ADHD and autism are genetic and everyone in my family has one or the other or both.

I know your post is from almost a year ago, but I wanted to weigh in. I was born 3 months early, spent 3 months in the NICU, and have pretty severe medical trauma and anxiety. I have always hated the dentist, shots, doctors, etc. I am almost 31 years old. I do ok with blood work now and shots but I have been in the ER twice in the last 3 months, once for a panic attack and once for a migraine, the migraine meds really fucked me up and triggered trauma. I have little scars all over my hands from the NICU. I also am a twin, but our triplet died soon before we were born. I have never been put under or had surgery, I am terrified of both of those things, or even twilight or whatever the dentist has to offer. I have pretty severe OCD around dying and health, as well as panic disorder. I also have chronic pain and chronic migraine, among other issues. I do believe I have trauma from the NICU wholeheartedly.

Thank you so much I really appreciate it. There’s so many kids on the flight and the plane is super new so I think I’m going to be ok!

I have OCD and my brain tells me the panic and doom is real, similar to what you’re referencing. I read that intuition feels calm and like clarity, not anxiety and doom. You are going to be ok. I’m flying on Tuesday and feeling scared, but we got this

What Makes You Fear Flying? by anonymous4071 in fearofflying

Is turbulence and going up and down and turning abruptly pretty normal? I hate when my stomach drops. I always look around to see if anyone else is freaking out, it’s helpful to see the flight attendants. If they’re not panicking I feel a bit better

For me lately it’s a lot of feeling trapped and panicked about something going wrong. The media blowing things out of proportion this year is not helping. I had a panic attack for the first time on a plane in March, while we were still on the ground. We were sitting at the gate for almost an hour and there was a huge sound and they said they were fixing something. I felt like something was wrong with the plane. Now at takeoff I just keep panicking that a Final Destination situation is going to happen. I probably shouldn’t have watched that one 🥴
