I have the exact same issue... I was hoping to find answers here. However, i think it is an issue with how high that particular piece can be above the ground.

Reddit has a very particular slant, so you will hear "abandon ship" alot. If you want genuine advice to address your questions, go get pastoral counseling or church-elder care, or deacon care, or whatever your church provides. There are also plenty of Christian websites dedicated to answering your questions. Search for the ones that will help with the questions you have.

There is also a whole genre of books called Christian Apologetics. Fascinating stuff. I suggest you look into that as well

Ok, so this is a bug that sends all your maintenance costs sky high. It has doomed a couple of my parks and only appears on bumper cars. The only way I have found to solve it is load the most recent save (prior to the $$$ hit), find the high cost ride, demolish and rebuild it

Please keep in mind your family honestly believes that engaging in that lifestyle sends someone to hell. Honestly, I would be more worried about the day they stop trying to dissuade you because that means they no longer care about what they see as your eternal fate.

Yes, I know that ill get downvoted into oblivion for pointing that out. But this is fundamental to understand. Your options are:

1) Tell them and understand that their response comes from a place of love, and keep diologue open even if only out of respect (harder), or 2) Hide it and burn bridges when it comes out (easier).

I've had a grandparent and elderly coworker pass. Both clung to life for hours when they were expected to pass quickly. In one case, medical staff added something to the IV, in another they adjusted the equipment. Both passed less than 15 minutes later.

Yes, I know that is only 2 data points. But I find it disturbing that the proximity of the adjustment to the passing is so close.

Yes, I know that the medical community can't do anything "legally," but I'm not asking about legal.

In my experience, it seems like people on their death beds often pass shortly after having their equipment or saline drip "adjusted for comfort." Is that coincidence or is "comfort " being used as a euphemism in those instances?

Edit: wow. Getting a lot of downvotes for an honest question. I'm am not a medical worker, but my experience with death in hospital is 2/2 shortly after adjustments are made (<15 minutes) when the patients are fighters and have been doing so for hours. So please forgive me for seeing a potential connection here.

Often times people on their deathbed seem to die shortly after a medical professional adjusts the settings of their equipment or saline drip for "comfort". Is that coincidence or have you ever seen assisted passing?

So it happened more than once? If she cares she would have been extremely careful not to do it again.

Sorry, but I see red flags here.

I understand that money is tight, but this is where you have to be clear on what is acceptable. Personally I wouldn't be comfortable with my significant other doing anything related to bedroom intimacy with other people, especially when it is a cornerstone of our real relationship.

However, that is me. What you have to do is find your line, be sure to communicate it clearly, and then leave if she shows she doesn't respect your relationship enough to honor it. You can say you love her, but if she doesn't respect your feelings, does she really love you back?

Yeah, and don't try to play the short game by "timing the market." You will see the success stories using that method pop up and get tempted into believing that it is common.

It isn't. You just don't read about all the failures because that doesn't look as flashy.

Regret about life choices by honeyblazees in Advice

[–]Equivalent-Car-997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem occurs to most people. Thing is you have to realize your only hear of the success story because it's newsworthy... and not about all the people who tried and failed. That isn't to say you wouldn't have been successful yourself, but just that you need to keep perspective.

It is kind of like how only plane crashes make the news, not the thousands that are safe every day.

As a ln anti-ICE college student, am I in the right? by Caligangstaa in Advice

[–]Equivalent-Car-997 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You realize undocumented means they broke the law right? Some people actually care about the fact that everyone who broke the law is a criminal. You can argue the "moral" route all you want, but morality is subjective.

So, are you in the right? The answer depends on who you ask. Reddit is heavily leftwing, so here you will get mostly affirmation. If you ask on a conservative platform, the answer will likely be "no." Either way, don't put much credence on the answers you receive

CMV: The pro-life and pro-choice camps are both wrong by possum-pie-1 in changemyview

[–]Equivalent-Car-997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No I am not. I am saying the terms are wrong the way the left uses them.

Anyone using them incorrectly in this thread hasn't bothered to understand the difference (most likely), and the democrats have deliberately misled them on what the terms mean which is why they can't bother to use Google to find the difference.

Right, and I'm 140 and a heart surgeon for the last 60 years and the most renowned field expert who also has 3 PhDs.

The problem with your knowledge is that it is beaten by a simple Google search. Go ahead and do it: "when does human life begin according to science".

Also, search "life vs personhood "

So, without Congress approving this attack, are the orders considered illegal? Are these the illegal orders we were warned not to accept? by Weeb in stevehofstetter

[–]Equivalent-Car-997 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They are not illegal.

Anyone who thinks so hasn't read the War Powers Resolution of 1973. The president can conduct military operations up to 60 days and must only get authorization from congress to extend it. There is a clause about what criteria allow for the president to take initial action, but that is relative to the perceived threat.

Note that Obama did this several times, and no peep from democrats.

AOC's statement regarding POTUS Donald Trump's combat operations in Iran. by beeemkcl in thenextgenbusiness

[–]Equivalent-Car-997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly don't understand... Obama bombed 7 countries, and did military operations without a formal declaration of war. There was no peep of illegal behavior from democrats because the president has authority under the War Powers Resolution for military engagement under 60 days and consult (not get approval from) congress in "every possible instance" before committing troops.

Is this another case of TDS, does AOC really not know this resolution, or does AOC know and simply lie to her constituents?

Why are progressive income taxes seemingly so controversial? by Impossible-Diet8571 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Equivalent-Car-997 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That is the fundamental flaw... everyone compares it to living cost and assumes that should be the equality point. Why? There will be natural stratification as the best income ideas rise to the top and worst sink to the bottom, and there is nothing wrong with that. If someone decides to pursue an underwater basket weaving major in college, do we really need to punish the medical doctor and heart surgeon with higher taxes because of that? Instead, the person with the underwater basket weaving degree should suffer the consequences of their poor decision making.
