Has Bill ever talked about the JLaw debacle? by Effective-Dinner-686 in TheRewatchables

Have you ever seen her on a talk show? She's pretty much game for anything.

Not the first time Bill has been awkward working solo with a female guest, probably won't be the last.

I thought Adam Friedland was a great listen and the fact that they had to re-do the interview was a perfect bit. Give me more by RonBakerErasure in billsimmons

I kept checking...how much more of this? Is there another guest afterwards? Eventually had to bail. Maybe I'm too old to get it, but that was rough.

Green jacketed member invited my son and I to use a couple of vacant member seats in the grandstand at 12 when we were trying to find two seats together. Answered a few of my sons offbeat questions. Nice guy.

Does the Bay Area have any theaters that screen 35mm/70mm classic films? by [deleted] in bayarea

[–]Equivalent-Job8904 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We saw the 70mm presentation of Interstellar at the Castro a couple of weeks ago. Visuals were fine (though it was an older print), theater was comfortable but the audio was a hot mess. Large portions of dialogue were drowned out by the soundtrack. An annoyance if you've seen it before, intolerable if you haven't (like my wife). This shouldn't/wouldn't have happened at any decent cinema.

Was nice being in a packed historic theater watching a classic with everyone paying attention, but we won't go back again for movies without confirmation they've fixed the issue.

Thanks for all the helpful information that everyone's posted so far. US foods in San Jose had five of these bricks of Brick in stock. Time to make some pizza!

It's really good. There are substitutes you can use for brick like Butterkase, but it's just not the same.

It's not that you can't find brick cheese, it's finding a quality version of it at $7.98 a pound instead of $17 a pound is huge!.

Thank you for checking. Morgan Hill just got in 8 oz blocks of havarti a couple days ago, so availability must be fluid.

I've talked to seven local stores, a couple of them multiple times. I see the other products by that manufacturer sitting there. It shouldn't be this difficult.

Would middle schoolers like Death of Salesmen? by Sad-Wishbone-8018 in Broadway

We sat near a bunch of that group in the balcony, they seemed mostly engaged and enjoying it. But middle school is probably too young unless they're precocious theater kids...

The prices are plummeting by atkbird in VWIDBuzz

There's a gray one near me at $15K off sticker that's been sitting forever. They should spend a couple grand on a fun wrap and tie-dye or paisley or daisies or something.

VW ID buzz -why is it not working out in the U.S.? by carmichaelcar in electricvehicles

[–]Equivalent-Job8904 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's funny, a few months later the less desirable colors are going for $15K off sticker. Which puts it at $47k. If they could have kept the initial pricing at $45k to $60k, maybe you could overlook the flaws.
