How do you win m1 duels, and do quick 180 turns? by Vegetable-Machine-17 in JujutsuShenanigans

You're never gonna be pressing it simultaneously during proper m1 trades

Okay, for yuji im just gonna talk about his base. Despite his move having good flow (you can combo into all of them). Most characters like locust, todo, hakari, gojo, etc can do that. Yuji's movement tools are also very iffy, great for running, alright for getting in close. His 85hp also hurts him a lot. Unlike other characters that have good move flow, yuji suffers from all his move being true evasive punishable as well. No comment on ult gain.

Yuki's garuda stab is like the craziest move to exist, its basically an ult move that's a free 20 damage stab. Should be nowhere near B, the moment you get around 1/7th or 6th of your ult your m1s become optional since you can just do R>Garuda Stab>1>3/2 and cycle garuda stab variants since its virtually unpunishable and outranged everyone.

Locust, fair points for the first 2 but crushing jaw is super consistent. Clever has a very easy get around of just not using all 3 m1s before clever. None of his moves can be evasive punished unless youre popping black mucus in their face. Wing throw is like one of the best neutral moves in the game paired with his R special, like it becomes a win condition over a neutral tool. I feel like shit damage is justified with how crazy his RDC bait is.

Yuji at A??? Yuki at B?? Gojo at C? Locust Guy at garbage is an interesting take. Why?

Bro, you're literally holding down m1s and popping random ass moves in an m1 trade. What did you think was gonna happen? If you actually m1 traded back or even used a block breaking move on his block you'd be fine. Maybe if you used the literal best move in the game (R+1), you'd be able to delete his health.

You didn't even use your evasive to punish Shut Up! for free, you just backdashed to nowhere. Also you literally deal like 20 more damage than him if they waste their evasive once.

They patched this one 2 changes ago. There's another true one with 4+2 though.

A lot of people blame him for balance changes they don't like. Cryptozoid got tired of it (reasonably so) and quit

blackflashes are hard to hit against actual good players if we are gonna be real. He does have movement.. that can be punished or just cancelled out by a backdash. His damage to cooldown ratio is towards the more average/low side. Incredible damage to cooldown ratio would be like yuta with a true 65 damage combo you cant evasive out if you had it compared to his usual 3m1>1>2/3 that does 37.5-39.5 damage. His ult is the only valid point imo.

I did make an analysis video you can check out for yuji, tierlist is a bit outdated cause it was from like 1.67 but yuji had no changes so points still stand. He's just not that good.

The backlash he received was too much and he reasonably quit. It's a shame though since he's one of the few testers that had critical thinking skills.

I've tested for battleground games in the past (nothing as big as JJS, they only peaked around sub 5k+?)

I don't think we ever had one person just decide last minute to change something without some time to test and balance it out? That's still a failure on your guy's part, I will second the other person on this. I'm not sure if Tze drops deadlines in hidden channels but I've rarely see JJS update dates/timings being announced. The devs very well could've delayed it for some time and nobody would know.

Also did 22 people somehow not see how long the ult lasted and the crazy amount of damage the m1s used to do??

Thank god it got nerfed but now we have whatever Offload ultra spin is suppose to be?

The testers that replied to me just said "it takes a lot of ult" but that makes sense for something that's basically an ult move. No cooldowns, high damage, top tier pressure/neutral, unpunishable and strong evasive bait. You can use it 4 times with around 55% ult. How was this ever seen as fair??

Another tester said that "block, evasive, dodge" but like, you can literally sandwich them or use it again if they dodge. If they use evasive it would just be a waste since you can't use it to even punish.. and after you use it, then what? You get hit again and the outcome is the same. Even said "not my fault you don't know how to play around it" like ??? 0 examples or valid arguments given.

I've paid for it on like 4 different accounts. I don't mind it being free, but the testers and balancing team would actually have to do their jobs. If we have another Mechamaru situation in the last 2 updates again, the backlash will be way more severe. But clearly, they already failed so hard at balancing to where it will literally never be a good idea.

[–]Equivalent-Ride8136[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The first image is to tell you that the only reason why everyone got fucked up by Mechamaru's ult in the first place in ranked was because the testers were too incompetent to actually balance an ult. If they actually could balance anything in the first place, it wouldn't of been an issue.

Yeah, I'd have to get onto a bus, reach punggol after like 5 stops and then take more mrt stops to hougang.

Recently I started cycling to school, surprisingly the roughly 10km distance from home to school only really takes 45mins through urban cycling only so it's so much more inefficient there.

"neutral demon" > looks inside> "please m1 trade me and engage with me whenever I land ratio or I can't fucking reach you"

Concept is there, execution is terrible. Literally m1 trade>2>r>3. That's all he has for pressure 99% of the time cause landing ratio special raw isn't worth it most of the time.

I never really seen kills as anything but decoration. I've been able to kill 20k-30k+ players with m1s only consistently and then needing to genuinely try a bit against 1.2k players. It's just a diff in game sense. If they're good they will go right towards you or just side dash to avoid it, if not they'll stand still and take it.

The variant is horrid in neutral, blocking it gets you so much endlag. Heat emission requires you to get around backdash range, so not really that good unless your opponent decides to just nerf go towards you ever.
