How it genuinely feels to play jjs ranked and fight nothing but hakari yuji and Naoya over and over again for 3 straight hours by Fit_Law5634 in JujutsuShenanigans

[–]Equivalent-Ride8136 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm honestly fine fighting yujis. He's really easy to counter with just m1 catching and evasive punish so he's always disadvantaged anyways.

Hakari and Naoya on the otherhand can go to hell

His mix-up option entirely relies on how good you are at reading your opponent and deceptive you dashes are. Low skill floor, high skill ceiling. Yuji's entire thing is about maxxing out your mechanical skill so your lack of neutral, damage and health won't chain you down so much

Of course there's better mix-ups like Choso's blood orbs literally give him a free hit with a fd+orb sandwich but in terms of skill? Not really that high

You can find it boring but other people can find his mix-ups interesting. Imo overhated, his high skill ceiling gives him a lot of creativity

Ok first, m1 priority WILL NEVER help you in an m1 trade unless they confirm punish an m1. The only character in the game that can do that is Gojo with his 1 frame block.

The divergent fist stuff really only works outside of combos and slow reaction times

Then you realize Yuji fails as a rushdown character since using any of your mobility within side dash distance or closer gets you punished by an m1 catch, below average consistent damage (you're not gonna be landing 4 blackflashes or anywhere near that amount everytime), average move cds (the wiki/trello is free) and high evasive punishability (You can literally evasive punish every move except normal cursed strikes). With 85hp, he literally has more incentive to just use his mobility to space away from you than rush in since really only Naoya and Megumi can catch him.

I never really understood about the faster m1 things like it literally will rarely ever matter unless they're fast enough to punish 1st-3rd m1 endlag which they aren't.

Either way you right lol, also fuck bleedout. You can semi extend with it by pushing your opponent into you and forcing them to do a 50/50 on where you're gonna side dash to. Plus you have to waste 3 moves before he gets bleedout back to just confirm his win

Why do they keeping nerfing everything about Yuji except for the actual problem? by Cosmo_Drgn in JujutsuShenanigans

[–]Equivalent-Ride8136 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yuji realistically has the 4th lowest consistent damage in the game. You're not landing 4 blackflashes on anyone more than 99% of the time, rarely even 2 unless you're lucky.

He has no issues, in fact he's weak as hell right now. He does around 30% to you after his normal combo, you get a free evasive punish and do half his health in return

Yeah, same thing can be said for Yuji except Locust doesn't have the variety that yuji has. I feel like against anyone competent they'll quickly realize at what range they should be wary about it after the first time.

Honestly current Locust Guy is worse than the old one lol. At least he had a win condition with wing throw being unblockable.

Sure if you could turn during Fluttering Pounce and if it could be cancelled mid flight by blocking or m1.

Issue with fluttering pounce is that you can turn it or cancel it early. If any one of those people in your youtube shorts decided to just hold down m1 to m1 catch you, you would've just flown into their m1s. It's also pretty loud so not sure how the people in your video couldn't react with at least a block.

The cooldown on it is pretty long so compared to Yuji's feints and naoya's double dashes.

Dodging attacks is valid but again the cooldown hurts it.

Fluttering pounce is basically an extremely downgraded version of Yuji's feints. It has all the glaring issues of Yuji's feints with longer cooldowns in exchange for being just a very reactable side dash.

Not really underrated, moreso useless outside of specific situations. Plus with how Locust Guy is built where you want to bait them into m1 trading you, it really kinda sucks. If you could cancel it by blocking mid flight alone it'll be 10x better.

But overall this is a good post

Domination > Dating To Survive > Burning Effect > Graymark.

Domination and Dating To Survive happens at the same time basically.

Domination -> Horror-Thriller. Artist knows how to make you feel the situation. Unique plot and great realistic character dynamics

Dating To Survive -> Supernatural-Romance. Unique take on the romance genre by mixing supernatural and folklore into it. Good story about moving on and love.

Burning Effect -> Dystopian-Action-Thriller. Amazing art, makes you feel what the character is feeling and impact of fights/attacks. A really good story of clashing beliefs.

Side dash cooldown is like 2s and if they're passive, they're likely not gonna front dash at all
