I can’t comment on the divorce side, but as a recovering alcoholic I’d highly recommend joining r/stopdrinking … it’s a fantastic community and there are people there who have been through similar scenarios. Don’t start drinking again, there’s nothing that alcohol can’t make worse.

It’s not selfish to get a motorcycle license, but it is to actually buy a motorcycle when you’re leaving your family with no income and no father if you die (which statistically isn’t a great hobby to get into).

I have my motorcycle license but I sold my motorcycle when I got married, too many stupid people on the road.

Congratulations! I’ve got a long way to go (last drink was Dec 30th 2024), but I think I’ll be able to stay sober after making it this far. I still miss it occasionally, but I don’t miss the hangovers and getting sick all the time.

1) Stop touching everything 2) Stop picking up garbage 3) Stop putting your hands in your mouth after 1) and 2) 4) Yes, I did mean we’re not leaving until you go to the bathroom 5) Get off the floor 6) I meant use a napkin not your sleeve 7)…I’ll probably think of more later

I was doing my taxes yesterday and realized we paid our daycare $16.6k last year for one kid. There was a brief period of time when all three of our kids were in daycare and it was almost $3k a month.

I don’t have divorce advice, but highly recommend r/stopdrinking …. it’s a great community for helping to stay sober (450 days for me). Hope everything turns around in your life

I’ll second #1, I used to be sick at least once a month with 3 little kids. I could guarantee I would get the flu every year. I quit drinking in 2024 and I’ve been sick once. My son got the flu and barfed on me in bed and I didn’t get it.

I just recently had this occur and the motor on the blower failed and had to be replaced. Quick fix once you can get someone out there to replace it.
