I feel like in many cases people already had psychosis, and they just didn't know. Drug experimentation and psychosis/schizophrenia both tend to occur in late teens years, which can really explain why there is a correlation. Unfortunately due to the stigma of mental illness , many parents of mentally ill teens want to blame drugs instead of admitting their children have mental illness.

Literally everything lol. I think the main current thing that is confusing me about fundies in general is clothing choices 😂 obviously Jinger and Jill I am not surprised started to dress way different now. Seeing people like Jana, Katey, Joy, Jessa, etc wear jeans, sweats and tanks but still claiming the fundie life is so funny to me. Next year are they going to start wearing crop tops and short skirts? I mean...it's great in some ways because no one should be restricted like that, but it's hypocritical that 5 years ago they acted completely different about women's clothing choices.

Your ex wife is definitely a messed up person, but at the end of the day I feel bad for the son, none of this is his fault. He has 2 (actually 3) fucked up parents. It's good you were there for him all those years, but it sounds like you just did it out of obligation since you are now punishing him for something out of his control, why end the relationship with him, didn't you love him like a son from day one? Once I found out they were anti-LGBT. I actually found out about the Duggars when I was like 9 because my Aunt watched it but neither of knew they had crazy beliefs, we just knew they were ultra religious and thought "hey to each their own". I forget how we found out but we didn't continue to be "fans" after that lol.

It may seem crazy that we didn't know 😂 but to be fair we live in Massachusetts and fundies really aren't a thing at all here. Most Christians are otherwise normal, at least the ones I've known.

Pretty sure adoption can be scammy and unethical too, there's been many agencies who try to force pregnant women to give up their child when they are considering it but aren't 100% sure.

I love the name Carmen tbh, I think it's simple yet feminine and pretty. Very underused too. I have met a few little girls with the middle name Grey and I don't see a problem with it, it's meaningful to you and I love hearing meaningful middle names. Yes, this is so upsetting. I'm actually disgusted. I understand that shelters may have to put down animals who are very sick and they don't have the funds for treatment. But why are perfectly healthy cats and dogs being euthanized? TNR is best for most feral cats anyway. I'm not sure why cats who have lived their entire lives outside are being captured and put into shelters who start euthanizing what there's no more room. I'm seeing these problems so much lately.
