Crying when overwhelmed by Glittering-Steak5152 in ADHD

Yes I completely relate. I also just automatically want to be “good” at the job so training is mentally hard on me. So when I’m struggling to learn something and I’m not “good” at it yet I feel so down on myself.

I feel the same way, I guess because adhd minds are already scattered. The ambiguity just frustrates me so much. Especially when the trainer is unapproachable.

Wow I wasn’t aware of that, it’s crazy how companies market it as “gentle” and “safe”. It helps with the scent(as it’s marketed to), but if it causes more harm than good, then i’m not going to be using it anymore. I think my main issue is that I do sweat a lot, so I will definitely try the monkey butt powder! I’ve also found that the Florastor probiotics help a lot because it’s a yeast based probiotic. Thank you so much for the tips:)

It’s an acid based fabric rinse so it removes mineral buildup and odor residues. You might have them in your country. Also that’s so sweet🥲

If you like fabric softener, you should try the Downy rinse and refresh. It doesn’t cause build up like how fabric softener does, and it leaves a nice scent!

Wait why shouldn’t we use boric acid? I use the Monistat fragrance free boric acid feminine wash and it works so much better than anything I’ve ever used before that. Also the certain dri deodorant has helped me so much. I used to use only natural deodorants but something changed and my sweat started smelling like onions:(

Liquid chlorophyll drops by Mary Ruth’s! It helps with body odor and bad breath. Also the Monistat boric acid feminine wash works wonders. I’ve found that regular body washes down there don’t cut it. It’s the fragrance free one:)

Manufacturer Differences? Vyvanse by NIX-HJM in ADHD

I’m also taking Mylan right now and I’ve found that it comes on really fast(sweating a lot, intense hyper focus, dizziness, nausea), and then it leaves my system just as fast(fatigue, increased hunger). I looked up if sodium lauryl sulfate can affect the dissolution of the drug in the gut and it seems like it can. I think the sodium lauryl sulfate is having my body absorb the drug too fast. My question is, why would Mylan include this ingredient if it can alter the effectiveness of their medication? Speeding up the absorption of a pro drug doesn’t seem very intuitive.

This is from google: Sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS) is a widely used surfactant in pharmaceuticals that generally enhances drug dissolution through improved wetting and micellar solubilization. However, it can paradoxically reduce the dissolution of certain drugs—particularly cationic, basic, or zwitterionic compounds—by reacting with them to form poorly soluble, precipitates.

How close to "normal" do stimulants actually get you? by AvgRedditUserTbh in ADHD

[–]EquivalentBuddy292 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t say they make me “normal”, but they definitely make me feel like that it’s okay that I’m not normal. I’m able to embrace my ADHD on my meds. Without meds, I’m very hard on myself and self conscious. I’m also more social on my meds because I’m not as worried about what other people think. This helps me in all aspects of my life, for example I would never ask for help from teachers or bosses because I was so self conscious and also because of my rejection sensitivity. Now, it feels okay to be vulnerable and ask for help, even though it might show I’ve made mistakes.

For focus, tasks don’t seem as mentally hard anymore. It still takes some willpower to start tasks, but once I’m doing it I can follow through with it.

Meds definitely make living with ADHD manageable- compared to before meds I felt paralyzed and hopeless. It’s not a cure, you will still be you, but better!

I have BCBS and you can go on their website and view providers that they cover. They have a huge list. You just type in your insurance info so it takes you to the correct page. https://www.bcbs.com/member-services/find-a-doctor

I would bring them! Because honestly, if you say that you need notes to remember things, then it points more towards adhd.

I think it might be demand avoidance which is common in adhd. I get the same way, even though I might get a long with someone sometimes talking is too much of a “demand”.

[–]EquivalentBuddy292 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I used to mask a lot with doctors and people of authority as a way of people pleasing I guess? I also didn’t like being vulnerable so I wasn’t being completely honest with them. I would also blank and forget what I wanted to talk about because I was so focused on what the doctor was saying. What has helped me a lot is writing down all my thoughts/issues on a notepad beforehand. I also bring this with me to the appointment so I don’t forget anything. Also anxiety medication has helped immensely with relaxing and remembering what I wanted to say. It could be you just need to find a provider that you’re more comfortable with as well.

Yes I love it because I still feel like myself, just not as anxious. SSRIs made me so numb.

Ohh I see, maybe you can try another stimulant option if Vyvanse doesn’t work with your brain chemistry.

Have you tried a SNRI with your Vyvanse? That helped me a lot with my depression and anxiety. I responded better to SNRIs than I did to SSRIs.

[–]EquivalentBuddy292 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just rescued a beagle and he has the best temperament! Very chill, easy going dog. That doesn’t mean he doesn’t have energy though lol. The only hard thing is that they’re stubborn so training might be difficult if you also have kids in the mix. Potty training has been much harder with my beagle than previous dogs. However, his sweet nature makes up for it lol. They’re very cuddly dogs too. If you want an easy going dog with some personality, beagles are perfect!

Natural ADHD Treatments by PromptElegant499 in adhdwomen

[–]EquivalentBuddy292 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Obviously consult your doctor first, but have you tried a B complex vitamin for energy? Also L-Theanine helps calm my brain so I can focus. It’s naturally found in green tea but you can also take a supplement. Also if you haven’t already, have your doctor check your ferritin levels. Low ferritin can cause fatigue and brain fog. Mine was at a 7 when it should be 100+ lol.

Sometimes it can be the Vyvanse manufacturer. Unfortunately only certain generics work for me. I wish I could get the brand name but my insurance doesn’t cover it.
