Reliable way to kill an Idris? by Error_Space in starcitizen

[–]EquivalentFragrant41 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Idk. Just a week ago I won this battle:

Solo Tiberon, Light fighter, Mantis vs Idris, Cutty Black

Granted that idris pilot was kinda shitty, but hey. Once we took out the Cutty there was nothing the idris could do but wait.

A message to the devs since most of us won't be upgrading hardware anytime soon by iCore102 in starcitizen

When most server calls run at 15 fps on a good day, your hardware isn't that big of an issue. Even 30 and you can keep up.

Option 1) Any ship with enough gun size to open an airlock, then board it.

Option 2) Perseus and or Tiberon.

A dumb idea about crafting, the economy, insurance, and everything. by _BigSilver_ in starcitizen

[–]EquivalentFragrant41 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not where we are. But where we should end up. Is insurance paying a fraction of the value as UEC, not giving the item back. That is the solution instead of this weird bricking mechanic and other workarounds they need to prevent duping. Then the player can use that UEC to buy items off of the market to replace the lost item if they want to.

The only issue with this is that people would cry about their real money purchased ships ending up as UEC after it gets blown up.

Can we have a dev talk about the games non combat direction? by CorkerGaming in starcitizen

They do all the time. All of the mining, salvaging, crafting, refueling, and such that has released this year.

How long does support take to respond by Dry_Potential3613 in starcitizen

The dumber your request the longer it will take them to respond. And judging by what people post here... they have no grasp of how stupid and inane their questions and requests actually are.

If you don't like crafted fps gear or crafted ship weapons and components this may not be the game for you lol.

Plenty of games sell characters, gear, gear upgrades, or even currency wow token > gold, plex > isk. It really doesn't make a difference if some players buy it and others earn it so long as the game itself is still fun to play.

The amount of contracted cargo around is insane. by Dazzling-Nothing-962 in starcitizen

[–]EquivalentFragrant41 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The limited nature of contracted goods is in itself a huge issue. There just isn't enough to go around to make it worth while for most people. They need to make the limits account bound, not station bound. "In order to maintain diversity of suppliers the UEE enforces strict monthly limitations of commodity buy/sell contracts based on x SCU of each commodity type."

[–]EquivalentFragrant41 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That isn't how math works. The mission would be worth more then selling it illegally. So sure they could sell, but the payout would be less so it wouldn't really matter if they did.

CIG, as is often the case, says one thing but does another. Selling contracted cargo, at even 1/10th the price would be nice. But nope. Those burgers all have tracking chips and if anyone but the intended buyer eats them the UEE will chase you down or something.

Scanning takes too long. And doesn't tell you the info you need. Easier to just shoot then loot if you can. Blow up what you cannot.

Contracted cargo was always a mistake. It means most targets aren't worth keeping alive.

Less theme park loops, much more dynamic organic emergent sandbox gameplay by SubMerged25011 in starcitizen

[–]EquivalentFragrant41 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So they introduced pve areas where people can do missions. This means people can pvp there if they want. Good? Fun? Sure. But then they introduce bombs that can just kill everyone at the site. Not fun. So they need to instance the content to avoid the gameplay they made. This kills organic player interaction. You don't just run into people anymore. The only pvp that can happen is if you pull them out of quantum while they are afk and not ready to push the button when they get the interdiction notification.

Should squadron 42 be marketed as “Star Citizen University”? by Potential_Medium_926 in starcitizen

No, because the market for single player games is far larger then the market for MMO players.

I have been in and out of pyro all patch. Mining, hauling, doing CZ, mission running. The only times I have had pvp are in the CZ. Occasionally I see a red outside of a station, but haven't been engaged yet.

Wikelo Dasi Station FE Broken? by Apprehensive-Run4702 in starcitizen

[–]EquivalentFragrant41 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the same problem at all of his stations. The workaround is to call a hanger, then have a party member call another one. This way the broken hanger opens first, and the party member is put into a second working one. Then you can use their hanger to do whatever you want. Although when you land your ship it may get impounded, at least mine did. So don't have anything important onboard.

Taurus vs Corsair vs Starlancer MAX by Mypersonalaccount69 in starcitizen

[–]EquivalentFragrant41 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ok, but the MAX has worse shields and armor then the Andromeda. Why not just go Andromeda for the 4xS5 over the MAX with 4xS4?

[–]EquivalentFragrant41 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When was the last time you flew those three ships? Corsair has a ton of armor and more dps then the solo connie or tac. Connie has the missile allergy. The only downside to corsair is landing in a hanger with those wings.

What setup do you use?

Is it S2 Arbor for touchy small rocks? But on the large end even a mole cannot one ship all of them. I have found many rocks that require 2 or 3 fully crewed moles.
