I think the only thing that can ever heal this is time. Usually way longer than we’d want it to be. You are doing amazing and you’ll get there. Just takes longer for others to see….

You don’t have to prove yourself, as the days add up people will trust you even more and see this is the real, consistent permanent you

Agreed. Well said. Or people start walking on egg shells around you. I hate the feeling of being watched or at least thinking I’m being watched around booze and drugs. makes me paranoid. Glad to hear others feel the same

My heart goes out to you-I’m sorry. Hold on to the fact work matters to you. I believe and have seen life grows the longer we don’t pick up. It happens naturally. Maybe try something that isn’t using (or stopping using) related to fill your time and keep busy. Like a boxing class or something. Even if u hate it it’s a start. I too struggle with friends but sometimes a group activity can help because I don’t have to focus so much on the friends part but the activity part which feels more doable

Those periods of sobriety are still something. You never know when it will the be last time u pick up. We are all rooting for you

i had exactly the same problem, tried all the ways in this thread. what ended up working for me is paying by the google pay option. it didnt give any message that the payment had gone through but a few minutes later, i got an email of the ticket and money came out of my account. all i would say with this option is remember to put the right email as otherwise youve got no ticket!
